Re: The Lounge
I've picked a couple of random people on my friends list to get a game, because why the hell not. If you haven't gotten it this time, I'll get it you the next time it goes on sale. I've probably got it for everyone actually active on here and in this thread, though

Re: The Lounge
I was clearing out my favorites when I stumbled across this forum again. It's been over a year, so I just wanted to come and say hello again.

Re: The Lounge
Very neat, Zalo. Kind of you to offer the code freely.
I should practice some Unity, and try some of these out in the process.

Re: The Lounge
I'm really scared of the thought this place might get nuked because it's really dead and all you wankers will be scattered into the web and we'll never stumble across each other again, kind of like the Endorphin forums a few years ago. Makes me really sad. Even the Russian CC forum has more life in it.

Re: The Lounge
I'm still reminding Data to pay the bills whenever something goes down due to him forgetting.
Pretty much all of us forum game folks and a bunch of finns sit in IRC channel all day, and we have a discord as well with the same people.
The permanent loss of the forum is depressing to think about, but if it eventually happens, there's still large of us still regularly interacting with one another in other mediums.

Re: The Lounge
Since the loss of the forums is inevitable, in one way or another, is there a way to pull a copy of all the threads/posts in a convenient matter for offline use? There is just so much knowledge about modding this fantastic game compiled over many years (even though some was lost) in here and it would be a disaster to lose all of it. I would definitely like an offline archive of the whole CC section if possible, even the shitposts.

Re: The Lounge
TLB or Data can very likely do a forum dump if Data ever decides to shutter the forum.

Re: The Lounge
I'm willing to do a dump of user-facing data if somebody knows of a good way to do it. The main problem I see is that if I just dump straight from the ACP, I'm also exposing a bunch of stuff in the admin/mod forums that might have sensitive info (or not, I haven't trawled through it all to check).
On a semi-related note, we've been hit with a wave of hundreds of spam bots and short of manually deleting all their posts, I can't really keep up with new registrations anymore. It's just been me manually approving the occasional new user for the last... year? Years? So does anybody think it's worth it to keep registration open, or is it just time for me to close off to new users? Feels weird saying that, but this place is pretty dead.
