The Soldier in Play: The Applique Monster
The Applique Monster is a standard soldier fitted with a metal helmet and a leather chestplate heavily reinforced with metal.
Whatever is not covered in metal is covered in heavy fabric much like the Browncoat stuff.
While not exactly superhuman, they are ridiculously resilient, and nonetheless remain mobile even with all their armor.
The Weapon in play: The Overwhelmer
The Overwhelmer is a belt-fed heavy machine-gun utilizing all new opening-and-closing cover system and a belt of rounds,
trading the quick reload of normal magazines for... uhh... reliability?
Nobody truly knows, but it's a high-capacity low-performance monster that chews through unarmored opponents.
Just don't hand one of these to a Heavy ally, or you'll find yourself with a broken machinegun as he turns it around and uses it to club people once it's empty.
The Soldier in Play: Field Commander John (R.I.P)
The field commander is a staple of the Semi-Heavy community - high-skilled individuals who were deemed worthier than others.
They wear mostly-ceremonial armor but borrow some chestplate bits from the Applique Monsters whenever they need to head out into the field.
To command. Also, those berets were 67% off. Don't expect them to protect their noggins.
The Weapon in play: The Plinker
The Plinker is a mostly unremarkable weapon, with a tiny frame and a weight so low you might as well not be holding anything.
It has barely any recoil but remains inaccurate, and the low damage of this weapon makes it a self-defense weapon against crabs at best.
But it weighs less than a frag grenade or a Heavy's lunch, so!
The Soldier in Play: The Trooper
A trooper is a soldier perhaps more standard than the Coalition Light.
They have heavy leather armor that somehow absorbs up to even 10 bullets before giving way, and this technology is applied to their full-head helmet too.
Most of them die long before reaching glory, despite their armor, but this one happened to dispatch two (2!) browncoat soldiers before keeling over.
Hurray! How did he do this? Read on!
The Weapon in play: The Red Stare
This is a rocket launcher with multiple shots and a magazine that somehow takes way too long to get in properly,
resulting in many people getting shot in the head as they try to fit the damn thing in.
Er... I mean, it's a very effective weapon, with 3 different types of rockets, and something silly called the Hyperdriver that does God-knows-what
(it makes enemies die faster, anyway). All rockets have a red tip. Hopefully. They will once they hit someone.
