EVENTS:

The birds ogle you carefully as you retreat into the safety of the truck. You do have some meat for the trip, but not nearly enough to satisfy their demands.

As Rosa shouts her question, there is a flurry of activity between the large, vulture-like shapes.

Bird 1: "Flesh? That, like meat, no?"

Bird 3: "No no no no. Can't eat, flesh!"

Bird 2: "Can! I, eat lots flesh!"

Bird 3: "And poop all out. Not food!"

Bird 4: "W-weeee're flesh. If have more, make more us. Right?"

Bird 1: "Oh. Ooooh, right. Maybe make neck. Fix head. Want neck!

CAW! YES, FLESH GOOD TOO!"

EVENTS:

Rosa looks out the window, taking aim at the birds (who are more like vultures than crows, to be honest).

Four large silhouettes, a bit taller than a man, completely obscured by their large, grime-encrusted wings, shuffling awkwardly on hand-like talons. Which should you shoot?

EVENTS:

Rosa flips her gun's safety off, zeroing her scope for the appropriate distance. Using her gills, she stops pulmonar breathing to steady her aim, and takes a moment to compensate for the wind.

Her crosshairs fall onto the right wing of the largest bird, the one that sounded like the leader. She pulls the trigger.

*BANG*



Bird 1's shoulder explodes in a shower of blood, its wing being flung off far to the side. The creature swings backwards and falls several dozen yards onto the bridge floor with a crunch and a splatter. The other birds caw angrily in surprise!

BATTLE - START! - Wait no everyone else is leaving. Before Rosa can even load another bullet, all the birds fly off, beggining to retreat into the night. There might still be time for a couple shots, if she's quick.

EVENTS:

Peggy: "...Are they gone? Bloody feathered bastards, give me the creeps. Want me to run that one over?"

Rosa uses her scope to check out the bird she took down. It's currently squawking and shaking weakly on the edge of the road, shielding itself from the truck's headlights with its sole remaining wing.
