EVENTS:

Eigla heads out to the garden, braving the storm. The thick snowfall seems to have a similar effect on her body as the rain, though less powerful, so she moves quickly, taking cover under her shield.

Even the garden's heat is not enough to counter the snow fully, and the ground is covered in ice crystals. The warriors take cover under the great tree, which in turn has raised hundreds of wide, bark-covered branches to shield its leaves. The same distant, speech-like groaning emanates from it.

Garden: "Seedling. The storm, is dangerous. Do not stand outside."


Meanwhile, Twoheads turns her body slowly towards Klimt's voice, after realising she can no longer turn her head.

Twoheads: "Oh. But, still... Myla said the Priestess, the Priestess can give rest. Myla is tired. Myla wants, wants to rest, now.

And- I, I can't. Think for myself. I think so? It's, there's something broken. For a long time. Myla, she helps me remember things. Otherwise I forget. I forget things."

It's hard to picture the drooling, partially-rotted head helping anyone think, but she seems serious.

EVENTS:

The garden lets out a strange sound, like a sigh.

Garden: "Child. We, have taken root here.

We spread, grow, but cannot leave. Home, is where the heart is.

Still. We may, send a messenger. If, truly friend, maybe send help.

And even if not-"

A stalk begins to grow outwards from the tree's trunk, bearing a strange, faintly pulsing apple-like fruit. It drops down in front of Eigla.

"Another seedling. If one day, find another home, let us spread. If not, food for the long winter."


Meanwhile, Twoheads shivers slightly, moving closer to the fire.

"Eternity... It scares me. Scares, scares Myla too. It's been too long already. Maybe, m-maybe, forgetting isn't so bad.

And- No. No? No. I, since forever, I was the dumb one. I, I even forgot my name? Myla, she was smart. She, she was nice. She told me where to go, what kinds of earth to eat, where to leak...

She told me to escape, and taught me to speak. Even... Even after she died, she's still helping. I, I love her."

EVENTS:

One of the warriors slowly, almost reverently takes Eigla's old clothes.

Garden: "Be safe, child."


She returns just in time to see Twoheads half-nod.

Twoheads: "She's here. She, she can't hear you, but I'm telling her what you say."
