BATTLE!




Rosa nods, taking the party's companions and circling around the group. She braves the storm and reaches the village. Should be just one more turn until the truck!


No sooner has Klimt shouted his warcry, Eigla launches herself at the group. Using her crawling flesh to block off the most dangerous-looking Doll, a gangly girl covered in bandages and broken glass, she strikes at the two-headed doll's neck.

Twoheads: "W-wait-"

With a sound like a machete breaking twigs, the girl's fragile spine is cleaved in two. Her main head falls face-down onto the snow, while her body stumbles back for a moment before dropping to its knees, torch still in hand.

The rest of the group seems to definitely not want to share the same fate, as they immediately turn around and start running away. Klimt and Eigla decide not to pursue.

Well, that was easy!

EVENTS:

Eigla grabs two-heads' head, attempting a field repair. It is merely twitching weakly and oozing a malodorous, tar-like substance from its damaged vessels. The body is motionless as well, though her second head mouths fragments of words, drooling more tar and growing grey-er by the second.

Myla: "Sister... Where?

Cold... So cold..."

Well, the head doesn't seem to want to stick back on, despite Eigla's efforts. It keeps falling off, and whatever Flesh she tries to suture just rips away. Seems like the girl was really rotten, literally.

Klimt sees red. It's Peggy, all over again. She's going to die, for real, this time. Another corpse in his bloody trail. He can't have that. No. No, not again. He snatches her head from Eigla's hands and SLAM DUNKS it into two-head's neck stump, lodging flesh deep onto flesh.

It works.

Twohead's main head opens her eyes, looking confusedly around from her now-slanted perch.

Head1: "W-wha... What ha- who? It hurts... IT HURTS!"

The girl screams and cries in shock amid the snow, eventually settling into quiet sobbing.

Myla: "Sister... Cold..."



Meanwhile, Rosa and the harem reach the truck. It is partially covered in snow, but Peggy's prodigious strength makes short work of clearing a path.

With some effort, they begin driving back. Reaching the village, they see the large group of zombies they'd avoided before. The undead make threatening motions at the truck, and pelt it with stones, but seem content not to engage.

EVENTS:

Klimt carries Twohead back to the mansion, taking care to not dislodge her neck. The girl is almost entirely incoherent, and continues to leak the same oily tar, leaving a black trail behind them. She's also surprisingly heavy, for someone with such a small frame.

He enters through the kitchen door, lighting the old-fashioned wood stove with his matchbox. The second head seems to perk up slightly at the heat, stretching its neck to get as close to it as possible.



Peggy shrugs, sighing as yet another stone bounces off the windshield leaving a rather ugly crack.

Peggy: "I don't care either way, I just wish those ugly subhumans would stop throwing ♥♥♥♥ at my car. Hey, isn't that your girlfriend up there in the snow?"

Indeed, just as they leave the village, they come across Eigla, following the path they'd taken. She seems unhurt, at least!
