EVENTS:

Rosa: "Curie, be careful, you are primarily brain after all.
I don't know how it would affect my... Physiology, so, I will also abstain.
Hm. Could we make a return trip to Charlotte? A couple clothes items just came to mind."

Curie pouts, blushing profusely, then signals the maids to bring her another glass.

Curie: "You're not Unit's mom."

Désirée: "Of course, of course! There's still plenty of time before dinner. I'm sure Charlotte will be more than happy to provide whatever you desire~"


Eigla: "Thank you, but I will have to turn down the offer. [for wine]

Does the Triplets' Rig handle arms production as well as their precision machinery? I think our primary concern right now is finding heavy firepower to fend off or maybe even disable the meatblob once it catches up with us."

Désirée: "It does, indeed, though not to the same scale as the Master's bio-factories. I am, a bit doubtful the three brats would be too willing to help, but their artillery platforms are nothing to scoff at."


Klimt: "I find the very presence of that blob interesting, considering that it was trapped in a room in the stadium. Who could have made it?"

Désirée: I cannot tell you for sure. True Necromancy is the exclusive domain of the Master, but there are many who dabble in modifying Flesh. Perhaps a failed experiment of some sort? I know I've had my share of those."



About half the food is gone at this point, and the maids slowly replace the empty plates with stacks of cake, gelatin and other desserts. Strangely enough, you don't feel nearly as full as when you tried the meat slurry earlier.
Perhaps having something with actual, non-horrifying flavour is stimulating your digestive system?

EVENTS:

Eigla slows down a bit, paying attention to how each dish tastes.

Some parts taste nice, but not exceedingly so. These seem a bit heavier, filling her normally. The desserts and candy are light and fluffy, but also give her some sense of satiety.
Others, the particularly juicy meats, those that make her salivate in expectation, melt in her mouth and go down her throat like they were nothing. She feels like she could eat nonstop for days and still have space for more.

Her thoughts seem unaffected, at least. Nothing unusual goes through her mind, even when she tastes the lighter meats.


Désirée: "Of course, of course! However, you must wait until the next convoy leaves. On this I will not concede. The wasteland is far too dangerous to brave alone, and I could not bear to send you off to your doom."

Désirée: "In a week, as I mentioned before. It won't be long, don't worry! I'll make sure your stay here is as pleasant as possible~"

Désirée: "It may be so, but didn't you say it got caught on an atomic explosion? Strong as it may be, I doubt it could recover from that in a mere week.

Believe in me. Even if such a creature were to arrive, my forces are more than enough to fend it off until you can escape."

There is a pause as Désirée thinks, stroking her chin.

Désirée: "How about we reach a compromise, instead? I will post patrols across the southern wastes. If any of them notice the blob, or anything untoward, I will send the convoy away, even if it is not full. The Master won't be too pleased, but I will gladly take the blame.

Would that be acceptable?"
