Désirée smiles, taking a grape from her dish and plopping it in her mouth.

Désirée: "It is, isn't it? I take pride in it. You should have seen the dump it was before I came around.


Also, mon cheri, you're partially right. I do not fight, but this magnificent body was gifted to me by the Master. It is much preferable to rotting away slowly, don't you think?"

Désirée: "Hm. Not that I know of. Was there another of you? Well, I will tell them to keep an eye out for her. Can't have her running about unsupervised, she might get hurt."

She raises a hand to her ear and speaks in a low voice for a few seconds, before turning her attentions to a slice of beef on her plate.

Désirée: "Won't you sit down? The ribs will get cold at this rate."

EVENTS:

Klimt gently sits the unconscious Emilia down on the chair next to his, then begins serving himself and Eigla.
The food is... Well, the first bite doesn't taste like poison, so they dig in. It's very tasty, in fact, spiced with herbs and fruit, and even salted! Everything seems to be very fresh, and cooked to perfection.

A porcelain-faced maid zombie approaches Curie, helping her onto a chair and gently spoonfeeding her the choicest morsels. Rosa, on the other hand, decides to ask some questions before starting.

Rosa: "Are these from the pigs down below."

Désirée: "Oui! Not the common chaff in the pits, mind you, those taste dreadfully dull. These came from one of my private reserves~

I have a penchant for creating new and exotic ingredients, you see! The boar you recently met was an attempt at getting a more wildlike flavour. That particular experiment seems to have failed, regrettably."

EVENTS:


Rosa cautiously stabs a small piece of meat with her fork and tastes it.

Oh goodness it even melts in your mouth. Delicious.

Désirée: "Mmm hmm. As well as processing sewage, and crafting small amounts of other products, such as rubber and leather. Maintaining the Master's armies takes quite a bit of supplies, you see.

This is not the only such factory, but I'm proud to say it's the most productive among them~"

She shrugs.


Désirée: "Important things, I imagine. I'm not very concerned about it, truth be told. My experiments take up most of my time and attention. Provided the smoked meat convoys continue to come, the Master seems more than happy to leave me to my own devices.


But! Enough about me. What about you, ma chérie? What brings you all the way to the wastes? I don't imagine it's too popular a holiday destination."

Désirée: "Huh. Well, that certainly sounds unpleasant. Not to worry, however. You're quite safe in my domain. Stay as long as you'd like! I'm always delighted to have visitors.

Oh, are you done with the entrées? Good, good. I hope it was to your taste. Allow me to bring the main course."

She claps her hands, and more zombie maids bring a series of large, lavishly prepared meat dishes, laying them on the table in front of the party, as well as one for their host.

Désirée: "Bon appétit! By the way, I have yet to ask your names. You are...?"
