EVENTS:

Klimt swims as best as he can, trying to fight the currents. The blender draws closer, but not as fast as it could be!

Rosa screams, piercing through her own tail with the previously hidden tungsten tip of her pilebunker, then attempting to lodge it into the wall. However, she's far too burdened by carring two and a half people, and the hit glances off the metal surface, sending her into an uncontrolled tumble! Peggy's body slips off her jaw, quickly being dragged away by the undertow!


Meanwhile, Curie and Eigla examine the control panel. The many switches and levers are unlabeled and covered in a thick layer of blood and grime, making identification difficult.

Curie: "Insufficient information available. Determining heuristic method. Processing."

Eigla has no time to wait, and quickly glances down at the pit, then back at the hundreds of buttons. Six vertical blenders, three of them online. Six large dial switches, three of them to the right, three to the left. There's a pattern! One of those must control power to the machine, but which?

EVENTS:

Rosa pushes away from Klimt, blasting away with her tail and snatching Peggy in mid-air. She clearly underestimated her swimming power, for the two of them are sent flying across the room, landing on the grimy floor with a wet thud.

Klimt does his best to fight the current, but it's not enough. At this rate, he's being inexorably dragged towards the grinding steel blades, toward certain doom...

NOT THIS TIME

Screaming in pain and rage, he turns his legs into tendrils and begins spinning them like propeller blades, in a selfdestructive but frightfully effective swimming method. He begins to move against the flow!


While Curie beeps worriedly, Eigla judges her chances. Two rows of switches. Two rows of blenders. If she assumes they're being seen from the entrance to the room - or, from the norh-facing side? What if it's sideways???

She breathes in deeply and makes her choice. With a quick hand movement, she moves all the 3 o'clock indicators to 9 o'clock. There is sparking and a faint smell of electrical smoke, but the engines suddenly stop humming, and the blades spin slower against the flow. She did it!

EVENTS:

Curie: "Analysis complete. Liquid flow is likely to keep the blades turning. Advise moving conveyor away from the blender. Third lever from the right should control its movement."


Klimt continues to swim, straining his muscles as he holds Emilia back. For some reason, she seems to be growing heavier?


Rosa checks on Peggy's condition. The girl seems to be partially conscious, and her lungs are inflated with fluid. She gasps and coughs, sewage leaking through her mouth and nose.

EVENTS:

Rosa flips Peggy onto her side, then begins carefully squeezing her lungs. A Torrent of filth sprays from the girl's mouth, and her eyes suddenly open. She tries to scream in pain, but only muffled gurgles come out. At least one of her lungs seems empty, now!


Eigla pulls the lever all the way towards her, and the swing arm quickly begins moving, diverting the flow onto the floor instead of the grinders. The room quickly begins to fill up with mud, even as Klimt and Emilia are thrown off the conveyor by the flow. There's a tearing sound, and suddenly the banshee doesn't seem as heavy anymore.
