EVENTS:

The group looks for other things of use. Nothing seems to stand out.

Looking down for ways to descend into the watery chasm, they find none. However, they notice the beams and cables that suspend the room seem to be fitted to winches, with quick-release mechanisms. Probably a way to disconnect it from the rest of the base in case of an invasion, or isolate the reactor if it experienced a meltdown.

Not very reassuring, is it?

EVENTS:

Rosa checks the corpse. It is little more than a skeleton by now, a large bullet wound punched through its skull. There is a single bullet missing from its handgun's magazine, and a large number of shiny medals on its decayed uniform. Probably an officer of some sort.

She then examines the walls for a way up, along with Eigla. The shaft's surfaces are very smooth and devoid of handholds, but large pipe-covered girders connect the room you're in to the sphere's sides. It might be possible to climb up them, and maybe grab hold of the organic matter keeping the doll in place.

Klimt goes back into the maintenance room and checks the generator. There is a small metal-engraved checklist by it, detailing the procedures for re-starting the main reactor in case of a power failure. A few cans of fuel are also stored in a cupboard. There's no way to know if they're still good, but it wouldn't hurt to try and turn it on, would it?

EVENTS:

Eigla activates her Crawling Flesh and slithers up one of the girders, which thankfully seems to support her weight rather well.

The girl is suspended upside-down by a series of cables, pipes and organic tubes connecting to her spine, back and neck, heading up into the sphere. Looking up, Eigla realises the lower part of the reactor is hollow, and seems to be housing a massive, gently pulsating cyber-organic growth. It looks... Vaguely, but undeniably, like a huge brain.

Still no movement from the doll. She seems, for lack of a better word, rather dead and dry-looking.

Eigla climbs down again, having grown rather proficient at girder-based movement.
