Klimt picks up the OPERA_BDAY vial and inserts it into the projector.
RECOVERED OPERATOR, SPECIMEN 4-C: REACTION - BIRTHDAY PARTY
Footage of a clean, white hospital room. A young girl sitting on her bed, wearing a rather pretty gothic dress, a piece of beefcake on her lap, while a few men and women in lab gowns sing *happy birthday to you*. At the end, the girl blows out the candles and digs in with gusto, while the scientists and nurses smile and clap.
"I'm so happy you all are here! Thanks for the cake, the gifts- I-I don't know why you do this for me, but thank you so much!"
She turns slightly in the bed, and you realise her arms and legs are made of bizarre, sinewy tendrils. The footage cuts out into a slide presentation of the girl in several positions, as well as X-rays and tissue dissections, while a strangely familiar female voice narrates a few bullet points.

Rosa walks in in the middle of the video. Huh, is that the girl in the ceiling? She looked nice back then.

EVENTS:
Klimt cracks open the LASTSCAN.MP78 vial, then swallows the contents.
It's... Strange. Unlike eating part of someone, there's no definite ego, or even the concept of memory. He sees, a pattern, a sequence of shapes and fractals and zeroes and ones, but doesn't quite understand what it means. He could probably write it down or recite it if needed, but it'd probably take a long, long time. It's a lot of data!
Well that failed.
Eigla inserts ENEMY RECOG into the projector.
ENEMY UNIT RECOGNITION - REFERENCE SHEETS
An image of a zombie, then a zombie with a kevlar vest and a machinegun.
ZOMBIES - Foot troops - Unintelligent - Hunt living creatures on their own - Vulnerable to fire - Poor aim, use cover and flanking - dangerous close up.
A large humanoid, with piston-powered arms and jaw.
GHOUL - Shock trooper - Ignores small arms fire - Can break through cover - short ranged but fast - smaller numbers, vulnerable to snipers.
A turtle-like creature, with eyes under its mouth and a long beard, as well as a large cannon mounted on its back.
WARTOISE - Antitank mechanized infantry - low rate of fire, extreme power at range - machinegun and AA variants encountered.
A huge quadruped, standing on insectoid legs and with large cargo crates strapped to its sides and back.
CRAWLER- Troop/Cargo transport - nonagressive, but highly armored - be wary of mounted gunners - retrofit of Eastern Coalition's earlier APC designs.
Another crawler, but with a series of antennae and satellite dishes mounted on its back.
OVERSEER - Mobile Pattern transmitter - priority target - usually slaved to a Tower, but occasionally standalone - 10 to 15 mile range
A young woman in a black straitjacket, oddly reminiscent of Emilia, but with hair lifted up in the air as if by static electricity.
BANSHEE - Legion leaders, terror troops - usually accompany a mob of zombies - adverse effect on allied undead - see annex 33R, Treason Incidents.
A series of vaguely humanoid, gigantic creatures with guns and claws all over.
LESSER/GREATER/SOVEREIGN ARCHONS - Mobile command posts - crewed by a group of enemy lieutenants - massive defense and firepower, avoid engagement at all costs - vulnerable to artillery
Several young women, with a man or two, wearing differing sorts of fashionable or cutesy clothes intermixed with armor, as well, as enhancements of several types.
OPERATORS - Fully Sentient Undead - abilites and vulnerabilities vary - always priority targets - capture if possible - exercise extreme caution
Aaand that's it. The projector turns off, its batteries finally dry.

"She's probably a defense system. Attached to a nuclear reactor. If we wake her and she's hostile, we may not have a way to undo it. At least, not any way that is safe. What else is there down here to investigate?"

"She's bound by cables and chains. To climb up there would be, dangerous, with the main room being suspended over a ravine. To then cut her loose and bring her back down safely... I, do not think it is feasible. ...There, is a chance that she would see the zombie bot's arm, and treat us as allies. But, considering she was fully sentient in the video, I doubt she will be so easy to fool."

Even if she is an enemy, it seems wrong to just, leave her like that. If we wake her up and she's an enemy and we have to kill her, fine. But being kept asleep there, indefinitely, I don't like it."
