Emilia: "Emilia serve Master Klimt! Emilia like Master Klimt! Emilia made to like Master!"



Meanwhile, Eigla makes a mud-covered wood pile to create charcoal for kiln firing, then goes hunting again. This time, however, she fails to find any deer, so she returns and begins molding clay tiles, so they harden while the charcoal is being made. She gets a good three dozen done!

Emilia: "Emilia not sure! Master taste nice, but Emilia not tried Rosa yet. Maybe taste better???"



The area around the farm is now covered in slowly-drying clay tiles. Thankfully there's no rain in sight, so they should be done by the following day. Eigla starts going around collecting fieldstones, for the foundation of the cabin she'll eventually build.

EVENTS:

Emilia puts a hand to her mouth in a definitely catlike gesture.

Emilia: "No promises!"




Meanwhile, Eigla sets up a series of simple covers for the tiles, not trusting the weather to remain stable. The farmgrounds are quickly becoming a smattering of small buildings and huts.

She stops to take it all in for a moment. It would have taken several humans a few days to do it all, in the past. She, on the other hand, could pull it off in an afternoon, without even getting tired.
This body of hers, strange as it may have been, definitely had some advantages.

EVENTS:


Emilia lets Klimt take her aside, then thinks for a long time at his questions. She answers in a low voice, unlike her normal half-shouted monologues.

Emilia: "Not sure. Brain taste good. Then, strange words. Amplitude gain frequency repeater mode station, connection lost, recovering, beep *boop* beep-"

She does an impressive rendition of a dial-up connection sound, completely at odds with what the human throat is normally capable of producing.

Emilia: "Then, stop. Head confused, work really hard. More words, but words I know. Words I knew? Remembering, hard. Take lots energy, make Emilia hungry.

Then, get arm. More strange! Serious words, anger. People call me Eigla? Emilia is Emilia, not Eigla. Gardens? Then, Rosa, lots of Rosa. Emilia find Rosa different, pretty! Want more Rosa."





Meanwhile, Eigla begins digging a flat area on the ground and lays a fieldstone foundation. She's not sure how well it'll hold up to frost heaving, but it's good enough for a cabin. After chopping even more trees and sawing them into square-section timbers, she starts building a traditional finnish log house.
