Klimt makes an effort to remember Peggy. Her beautiful eyes, her friendly smile - His promise. He mustn't forget. Never, ever. He's a true gentleman, he will-

Mary: "Klimt, dear? Why did you stop?"

He starts to correct her, he obviously did not stop.

Wait.

Something felt... Off. As in, literally disconnected.

Mary: "Oh. Oh my. Oh dear, that part... Yours isn't, uh, detachable, is it? S-sorry, dumb question! Uhm... Do you think we could, glue it back on, or..."

She suppresses a laugh. Then, doesn't suppress the next laugh.



Meanwhile, Rosa looks inside her pack. Oh look, there's still a bit of smoked meat here! She starts to tell Eigla the good news-

Wait.

Was that Klimt who just ran out of the house crying? Where's he even going?

Mary appears at the door, laughing manically.

Mary: "I, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I- pfffffHAHAHAHAHAH! I can't, I- I can't, I'm so sorry..."

She falls down, clutching her stomach in laughter-induced pain.

Klimt runs through the fields screaming, doing angry somersaults and generally flipping out. He notices Peggy is running beside him, with Emilia a short distance behind.

Peggy: "Wait! Klimt! What the hell? What happened?! Have you gone nuts?"

Mary yells at him from the house's doorstep, waving... Something, at him.

Mary: "Hey! Come back! You forgot your- Y-your- PFFFHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

She falls down, crying with laughter.


Meanwhile, Rosa and Eigla watch the show unfold while chomping on dried meat. It's rather entertaining, actually. The fact that such antics can even occur in this otherwise dead, hopeless world...

It makes you feel less empty, in a way.

Klimt stops running and wordlessly tries his coffin. It remains still, having not been loaded with materials yet. He shamefully walks back to the house.

Klimt: "Uh, yes. I need that."

He tries to grab his part back, but Mary quickly pulls it away.

Mary: "Nu-uh-uh! I'm the one who caused this issue, so it stands to reason I should be the one to fix it! Come in! You'll find I have rather delightful bedside manners~"

Peggy: "Wait, you crazy? *I* am his waifu, so I should be the one helping him! Come on Klimt, let me take a good look at your piece~"

The two of them begin pulling him inside, and Klimt finds himself unable to resist. Emilia promptly jumps onto his shoulders.

Emilia: "Emilia not understand, but sound fun! Want join!"

Ram: *owo* *bleats longingly*


Rosa and Eigla watch in amusement as Klimt is dragged helplessly inside the house, then go to sleep huddled together in the garden.

The sunlight filters through the housetruck's half-open door. Klimt opens his eyes sluggishly, petting Peggy's slimy, bulbous sleeping form. He notices with a grimace her tumorous core has grown more lumpy and distorted overnight, two small, quickly growing arms poking out through the thin membrane. She really can't catch a break, can she?

Mary nuzzles against his arm, smiling in her sleep, her body heavy against his. She certainly got some amusement out of the whole ordeal, but at least she managed to get it all fixed in the end. Her surgical skills are rather impressive.

Emilia lies on top of him, sleeping in a rather... Normal fashion, surprisingly. None of the static noises and half-opened eyelids he normally associated with her restless nights. What changed?
She does feel as cold and clammy as usual, though. None of last night's warmth and energy seem to remain, and she breathes slowly and peacefully.

The ram licks his face. He hopes it's just trying to wake him up, but fears it might be the sheep equivalent of a kiss. Eugh.




Rosa and Eigla wake up together with the first lights of dawn. It's a warm, comfortable morning, and they feel like they could get a lot done today!

Eigla spends the morning making wheelbarrows. It's surprisingly easy once she gets the hang of it, having the right tools for the job for once. She makes three in total!


Rosa decides to try and repair her hands. Mary is still asleep, and her coffin refuses to produce new parts outside of battle, so she has to improvise.
With a bit of effort, she removes her tendons and slices them in half along their length, allowing her to double the amount of separate fingers she can use. That still leaves her pinkies a bit useless, and her hands looking like half-eaten roadkill, but she regains quite a bit of dexterity!


Klimt spends the morning lazing around in his waifu pile and playing with his recently repaired part. It seems... Well, functional, and Mary even made some mildly questionable upgrades. Speak of the devil, she's the first to wake up.

Mary: "Yawn~ Good morning, Klimt dear~"

She sits up and reaches for the sheep, extracting a thick, fleshy cable from its back, which she attaches to the back of her neck.

Mary: "Aaaaa, much better- Uhm.

Oh dear.

I- I did something bad, didn't I.

I, I don't agree with this. I'm, very, very sorry. I- I was not myself. I- WHAT WAS I EVEN THINKING AAAAAAA"
