Klimt checks the remains for anything useful. Nothing. His teeth were sharp, far too sharp.
Running through the rain, he goes back inside. Emilia is still sitting there. Somehow, he thinks he sees a hint of a smile in her otherwise blank face.


Eigla hacks away at the flesh, trying to pull herself out. The pressure seems to loosen a bit, then comes back with increased vigour. It's like there's small feelers and tendrils all over her arm, working their way into her flesh, seeking for a path into the rest of her body... Even her long-dead nerves go haywire with that, and she screams in rage and pain.

Rosa realises her Shield is in danger. She can help. She HAS to help. With shaking hands, she managed to unholster one of her pistols and shoot at the porthole. The first bullet misses terribly, but she breathes deeply, concentrates, and sends two perfect shots through.

Eigla feels the Flesh give, momentarily, so she uses her legs to push against the door, hoping to free hers- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Eigla howls in pain as her wrist joint gives out, her hand now conected only through skin and tendons, then is suddenly silenced as the Flesh pulls her back in, slamming her head against the door. She feels something crack at the base of her neck as her torso begins to be pulled through a far too small aperture.

Klimt: "Emilia, where did they go? Why are you smiling? I think we should all stick together more closely now..."

Emilia points to the corridor, then chatters excitedly.

Emilia: "Master, M'ila see not master, not meat. Head, think bad think. But, M'ila see master, good!"

At any rate, Rosa seems to have left a very easy to follow trail of blood drips. With Emilia in tow, Klimt follows it through the arena, and then into the Employees Only area. He then hears gunshots and screaming. Are they in danger?!


Rosa gets up.

It hurts.

She walks to where Eigla is struggling futilely to save herself.

She's hurting, too.

She slowly lifts her leg, placing it against Eigla's shoulder.

It's gonna hurt more, but then it'll hurt less. She's sorry.

*THUNK*


Eigla and Rosa fall down to the floor; The first, missing her right shoulder, and everything below it. The second, passed out from overexertion and rain exposure. Eigla's disembodied arm is quickly pulled through the porthole, disappearing into the mass of Flesh with a sound akin to a belch.

Rosa's coffin beeps, indicating it's done processing the Flesh. It spits out a large, featureless sheet of skin, some tendons and muscles, and a grey metal-and-flesh jaw. You guess it ran out of Flesh for a fully organic one.

Lying in a pool of her own blood, Eigla holds tightly to Rosa, and the barely conscious gunner returns the gesture. She feels tired. So... So tired. Tears begin to well in her eyes, and for the first time in a long, long while, she can't help but earnestly cry.


Klimt follows the noise to a room, some sort of... Lab? It feels familiar, but he has no time to think about it. Eigla and Rosa are sitting on the floor in a pool of blood, clutching one another. The gunner seems unconscious, while the shieldmaiden is sobbing softly against her skinless torso.
