Vargall impatiently states his demand, while trying to keep a lead over the APC.




ALLIE SLAPS FAUST IN THE FACE, HEALING HIM FOR 4 HP! SHE THEN PROCEEDS TO FLIP OUT AND CLAW MADLY AT VARGALL, WHO BLOCKS THE HIT!

Vargall punches backwards, trying to grab the rabid miko by the neck, but she slaps his arm away!

ALLIE CLAWS ONTO THE FRONT SEAT AND ATTEMPTS TO BITE VARGALL'S JUGULAR, BUT HE STOPS HER WITH A HEADBUTT!

Vargall attempts another grab, but is too distracted by having to drive the car! Allie weaves and dodges away from his hand!

ALLIE KICKS AND THRASHES AROUND INEFFECTIVELY, TEARING UP THE SEATS AND DASHBOARD, THEN LUNGES AT THE ORK, BITING VARGALL'S FACE AND SLICING DEEP INTO HIS THROAT! VARGALL TAKES 8S DAMAGE!


Faust wakes up and tries to remember why is there a huge invisible troll smothering him. He fails.


The Knight Errant APC pulls right by Vargall's car, matching speed, and you see an armored figure open the top hatch and take aim at you with a machinegun!

(On Bright's Bike)





Bright quickly drives down into the parking lot. He hears the sirens just as they pass by, singing and trying to lure sailors to a watery grave. That was a close one!

His commlink begins ringing. It's Emi's number.

The Knight Errant gunner fires repeatedly at the car, pockmarking the doors with holes but thankfully doing no real damage.




Vargall whips out his BFR and-

The revolver jams. DAMMIT.




Allie LEAPS OUT OF THE CAR, RUNS UP THE APC'S SIDE WALL, THEN STABS THE GUNNER STRAIGHT THROUGH THE CHEST FOR- 3P damage. Huh. Sounded like more!




Faust attempts to summon a spirit, but Backsmasher's MANLY PECTORALS are too distracting! Also they block his oxygen intake so uh he might wanna get out from under the invisible troll ASAP.


The gunner unsheathes his sabre and swings at Allie, but she blocks the hit in a shower of sparks and grinding noises!

Vargall manages to un-jam his gun and takes another two potshots, but doesn't manage to land either as the combatants weave and duck in their desperate skirmish.

Allie attempts to slash again, but loses grip on her sword and watches it fly away and enter Vargall's car through the window. Faust lets out a small yelp as it stabs the seat right beside his head.

The gunner strikes at Allie, but she deflects the sword with her bare hands! That's something you don't see every day!

Allie lets out a barrage of punches, but the gunner manages to dodge every one of them!

(In the Underground Parking Lot)



Bright flips open his commlink and-

"BABE ARE YOU OK I JUST SAW YOU ON TV AND THERE WAS A SHOOTOUT AND YOUR FACE WAS COVERED BUT I KNEW IT WAS YOU BECAUSE YOUR MASK WAS ONE OF MY FRILLY KNEESOCKS AND YOU WERE IN A BANK ROBBERY PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE ALIVE *sob*"



What will you do?

I was actually gonna suggest we commandeer the APC but I guess
Aim for the driver's viewport! Use all my gun magic and nail this dude in the eyeball.

EDIT: oh whoops Maarten I misread your action. It worked out in the end tho, so I hope you'll not be mad at me ;-;

The gunner swipes at allie one more time, dealing 5P damage and cutting a huge horizontal gash on her midriff.

She pauses for a moment, gasping blood, then her eyes unfocus as she falls down to her knees, steam and smoke billowing from her strained body.

Allie has begun to Bleed Out! She will be dead from blood loss in approximately...

45 rounds.

K-10 is one helluva drug.


The gunner then brings up his weapon and fires at Vargall's car, but thankfully doesn't hit anything important.





Vargall activates his GUN MAGIC (aka Edge) and PEW PEWs at the gunner! Both shots hit nearly the same spot on his chest, piercing through his armor vest for a total of 8P damage! The gunner drops his gun and falls back into the car, Bleeding Out.




Pushing Backsmasher out of the way, Faust spends an Edge and tries to re-summon FIREMAN, despite the danger.

"WHO DARES SUMMON MEEEEEE?!?!?"

You see fire exploding from the APC's upper hatch. This could be a good or bad sign.

(On Vargall's Car)




Vargall opens his door and JUMPS OUT OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT, grabbing the side of the APC! He snatches Allie by the foot and swings her back inside the car, jumping in after her.

How he managed to do ALL THAT without crashing is a mystery for the ages. A pity mostly everyone who could see his amazing acrobatics display is either unconscious or dying.





Faust hears laughter and screaming coming from inside the APC, and notices the vehicle is slowly drifting off the road. Just as he finishes giving Allie 2 points of Magic Armor, it smashes right into a streetlight in a shower of flames and sparks.


Vargall hits the gas pedal and begins speeding away, hoping to get away before the FIREMA- Oh wait he's sitting on the passenger's seat.

"YOU HAVE AWAKENED ME TOO SOON, MORTALS. AGAIN. ALSO JOB DONE, ALL KNIGHTS BURNING. WHAT NOW."





Allie feels something grab her then toss her. Then she smells sulfur and smoke. And blood. Mostly blood. She hopes it's not HER blood, but finds it unlikely.

Emi begins to answer between sobs and hiccups.
"B-buh I saw it in the news and there was a shootout and they said you were a dangerous insect cultist and that you'd set fire to the entire neighborh-hood and that the ARMY w-was after you and P-PLEASE LET THIS ALL BE A DREAM *sob*"
