ALLIE ANGRILY HEALS BACKSMASHER FOR 2 DAMAGE. IT'S NOT MUCH BUT HEY IT AIN'T EASY TO SEW ARTERIES TOGETHER WHEN YOU'RE SCREAMING IN BLIND RAGE.

SHE THEN LIFTS HIM OVERHEAD, RUNNING OUT OF THE BUILDING, AND LOBS HIM AT THE CAR!

Or at least she tries to. What ends up happening is she trips over her own foot and faceplants on the street. Backsmasher falls on top of her, moderately confused at suddenly not being suffocating anymore. He then passes out again because his HP is still negative.




Vargall has had enough of this. He shifts to first gear and begins to skedaddle the wazooie outta this juncture with Faust. He's now about 50 meters away.




Faust wiggles his fingers fiercely and summons a large SPECTRAL ROCKY CENTIPEDE from the DEPTHS OF THE EARTH. It sits on the car beside him, making centipede sounds.




Bright begins to go down the shaft, only to discover that it leads to no huge tunnels, but only a foot-wide concrete tube for rainwater drainage.

He guesses the movies WERE wrong after all. There's no bizzarrely spacious sewer here! He goes up and exits the manhole anyway.

Oh look, it's the psycho girl and the troll! Why are they sunbathing on the street?

Allie picks Backsmasher up again and begins to run towards the car! Bright, realizing the troll is close to dying, runs after her carrying a trauma patch!

Back at the donut shop, the policeman have managed to subdue and arrest the fire. The fastest among them, a hulking sasquatch, runs out of the shop and begins to give chase!

"*UNWRITEABLE SASQUATCH NOISES*!" (Stop in the name of the Law!)

Vargall's current speed: 30 km/h

Allie's running speed: 25 + 2 hits: 29km/h

Bright's running speed: 25 + 2 hits: 29km/h

Centipede's running speed: 25 + 1 hit: 27km/h

Sasquatch's running speed: 35 + CRITICAL GLITCH: oh dear km/h


Allie and Bright lag a bit behind the car, maintaining a constant distance from one another! The Sasquatch Policeman trips on his untied shoelaces and falls flat on the floor, spraying spinning golden rings everywhere.




Suddenly, a huge rocky centipede jumps out of the car, and begins running parallel to the shadowrunners! However, despite its many legs, it fails to keep up the pace and begins to fall behind!

A few random passerby see the oversized arthropod and begin to run away screaming. A woman faints in shock.

"INSECT SPIRITS! RUN FOR THE HILLS!"


Allie attempts to throw Backsmasher into the car again! She manages to make it this time, and the huge troll is sent hurtling through the air, slipping into the vehicle through the broken back window!

Faust takes 2S damage from the troll suddenly landing on top of him. Faust is knocked out!

The centipede is released from its summoning bonds. Thankfully it is a much calmer spirit than the FIREMAN, and simply burrows back into the earth.




Vargall slams on the brakes, and the can comes to a screeching halt! Bright runs over to the passenger's door, slaps a trauma patch onto Backsmasher's face, then runs off in a completely different direction, entering a side street!


Allie is unable to stop in time and slams against the back of the car, taking 2S damage! She still manages to cling to the vehicle, and pull herself up on top of the trunk as it starts moving again.

(On a Side Street)

Bright runs back to where he stashed his motorcycle, turns on the engine, and begins to head off to the dropoff point.

...Wait. Dropoff point? Did you ever actually arrange one? Maybe it'd be best to call the Don.

(On Bright's Bike)





Bright floors it and takes the first road leading to the Barrens. A few minutes later, he begins to hear air raid sirens in the distance. Hopefully the rest of the party didn't get into TOO much trouble? He takes a few random turns to avoid being followed, then continues on his path.


After a while, he reaches his target. The ghoul building should be right around the corner and-

Oh. Oh dear.

You read about it burning down in the papers, but didn't think it would be THIS serious. Where the derelict condo once stood, now lies only a pile of burnt rubble and bent steel beams.

Hm. The underground entrance seems to still be standing. Perhaps the parking sub-levels didn't collapse completely?

(On Vargall's Car)





Allie smashes one of the side windows with her face then crawls onto the back seat, hissing manically and covered in blood and soot.




Vargall pulls out his pirate insult cheatsheet and methodically yells each and every possible combination. That's a total of 25^3, or 15625 possible insults.

He's really good at talking fast.


ANYWAYS. He violently jams his meaty ork foot into the gas pedal, and begins going... Away, in general? Yeah, sounds like a good plan. Probaly to the Barrens, doesn't seem likely that the cops would follow you there.


SUDDENLY, you all hear klaxons and air sirens blaring. The PA system across the neighborhood goes live, and starts transmitting an automated message.

"ATTENTION ALL CITIZENS. INSECT SPIRITS HAVE BEEN SIGHTED IN BELLEVUE. PLEASE REMAIN INDOORS FOR YOUR SAFETY. THE KNIGHT ERRANT TEAMS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DISPATCHED. THANK YOU."

Roughly 30 seconds after that, a Knight Errant APC bursts through a nearby fence, blocking the road. Vargall is quick to hit the handbrakes and turn into the nearest intersection, but the huge armored vehicle gives chase!




Faust dreams of being smothered by soft elf butts. If only he knew it was actually Backsmasher's HUGE PECS.
