"Interesting..."

"How does negating magic with this work? Is there a passive aura a certain distance around it? And I suppose blast mages with anti-magic to prevent a cast?"

>Try and move close enough to poke the core with my lance. Stop if I feel like I'm about to pass out. You consider keeping a safe distance from the core. You know what? ♥♥♥♥ safety. After glancing back to look at your teammates (which you can't see because it's really dark), you move closer to the core. With each step, you feel more and more uncomfortable, and then a burning pain that feels like it's coming from everywhere, but at the same time nowhere on your body. You're not close to passing out yet, so you keepon going, until random spots of colors start to overlap your vision thatsomehow still allow you to see. Heh, is this all the corruption can throw at you? You can still walk straight, and swing your lance even. What a joke. You have a hard time focusing though. Your mind feels a bit fuzzy but you poke the core. Hah a,w ha t a j o k e ________________________________________ TorrentHKU wrote: "Thanks. Still breaking it in, I got a bunch of new tricks and toys since we met before." > Transfer armor mana to stones/weapon, float Ruby in the air next to me, change my destroyed black robe for the new AM one and remember that I got a new padded shirt at the armory, and that my shirt is not in fact destroyed. Equip Caster Gauntlet, and finally grab Ruby and reform armor. You do your fancy armor equipping scene, feeling a lot more comfortable with the gear on. Horoma: "The more tricks and toys the better. We need everything we can get our hands on to save - Emiel.
What kind of tricks did you pick up exactly?"________________________________________ TheKebbit wrote: "I don't even fully understand what is happening myself. Well, get going. I won't be any help for a while."________________________________________ CrazyMLC wrote: "Interesting..."

"How does negating magic with this work? Is there a passive aura a certain distance around it? And I suppose blast mages with anti-magic to prevent a cast?" The armor feels almost weightless, and with nearly no added momentum that you can feel. Doesn't feel any more hindering than lightweight clothes would be. Baltir: "Exactly. A passive field about a a foot off the armor, and you can launch the effect at any target within range. You can also add exceptions, which make it so the armor will ignore magic from certain people. Allies, for example."

"What? Oh, Emiel. You said Emiel. Ahem." > Captivate float my needles into a small ring in front of me, have them move in and out from the center of the circle in a wave travelling around the ring. "I learned a bit about being Captivating. Though, uh, you might not know about that. Well, I can cast from anywhere and automatically set targets, even if I'm not aware of them. Was actually hoping to actually practice combat techniques, but stuff... intervened."

Re: Ad Infidium (Roll 305) - Preparations
"At first, like a little team of very obedient, very diligent servants are carrying out my magic. After using it a bit more? Like I can reach out and touch anything. There's no boost to strength, but I already feel like there's a ball and chain that got removed from my casting. It's also pretty resilient to anti-magic, telepathy based at least, so that's one less thing to worry about.
I wonder what my parents are doing, with all this ♥♥♥♥ happening. Well, if my Mother has Captivate I'm sure she'll keep them safe one way or another."

"Don't go all bird brain on me, that's Aucupe's job. You asked about how Captivate felt, it feels liberating. Like your arm's reach is suddenly 100x bigger."
