Bright sits on one of the nearby street benches and waits, pretending to read an issue of Goblin Rump Illustrated. At exactly 8:17, a car matching the one from the picture drives out of the building. The windows are darkened, however, so you can't be sure if it is indeed your target driving it.

You jump onto your bike and tries to tail the car as discreetly as possible. It works as the man goes down the street, then turns towards one of the main thoroughfares crossing the area, but suddenly he swerves to the right and enters a side street, going much faster than before!


Just as you lose sight of him, you notice your teammates' car, coming down the street from the way opposite to you.

Vargall guns the engine and sets his sights on Mel's car. The target notices it and attempts to go faster, but his vintage car is no match for Vargall's gas guzzler. You're now glued on his tail, with Bright just behind.





Bright notices vargall lowering his window and putting out one of his pistols, while Backsmasher raises his shotgun.

Welp, time to Nope outta there! He quickly stops his bike and starts casually moving in the opposite direction.

Allie, apparently having come to the same conclusion, opens the passenger door and jumps out of the car, landing with a 10/10 tactical roll. She dusts off her clothes before hiding behind a nearby garbage container, light pistol loaded.


Meanwhile, in the car, both the elf lady and Faust look at one another with more and more trepidation.

"Uhm, listen... I sort of hired you as deniable assets so it might not be the best idea to-"


BANG BANG BANG

Oh dear.


Vargall grabs his first pistol and shoots at the car. The shot pierces straight through the back window and explodes within. Mel takes 5P damage! The ork drops the pistol inside the car and quickly draws another. This time, the shot flies straight through the back and front windows, exploding several feet in front of the car.

Not to be so easily discouraged, Vargall throws the pistol back onto the passenger's seat and draws yet another one. You hear a wet crunching sound as Mel takes 7P damage.

Mel's car swerves suddenly off the road, crashing into the gate of a nearby mansion in a mess of metal and smoke. It's not a total loss, but you doubt anyone could have survived that impact.


What will you do?

Vargall stops the car and runs over to the crash site. Yeeeap, that's the target. He looks pretty dead, too. At least, you've never seen someone survive being cut in half.

As he's busy detaching the car's fancy lightbar and siren, Allie saunters over and shoots the man some more, just to make sure. She spends a moment to mourn the loss of some perfectly serviceable kidneys, then runs back to the car.

Faust decides that the less evidence, the better, so he launches a weak fireball at the car, taking no Drain but setting the spilled fuel on fire. The wreck begins to slowly burn down.


That's when you hear the helicopter, and a spotlight nearly blinds you through the hazy morning air.

"PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPONS AND MOVE AWAY FROM THE CAR. THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING."

Faust notices the grey cross on the side of the chopper, marking it as a DocWagon vehicle. You better book it out of there before the heavy weapon paramedics arrive!


As Backsmasher urges you to get the hell outta there and your employer begins hyperventilating, Vargall jumps onto the driver's seat with his newfound loot.


Meanwhile, a few blocks away, Bright does his very best to look inconspicuous as he drives back home. So far, no one's shooting at him! Must be a good sign.
