That's right. that might actually work. Probably won't be more effective with the way the drivetrain would have to be constructed and the extra friction it would create. But yes that would in theory work.

Haha, sorry that took so long to explain. My assumption is that it would be more complex, but I can already think of a few efficiencies that could be included. The reason I am persistent with three wheels is that I have a hunch that it would be the most effective, including the extra friction, not that that's much to go on.

You're all a bunch of super creative nerds. Just reading that small conversation made me want to participate in projects and stuff, but then again the only people I know that make projects I'd like to worth with are those "I'm smarter than everyone" kind of guys.

I'll admit I don't browse these boards too often, but I checked here anyway to see if there was going to be any discussion about Brexit.

The patriotism is usually just for laughs, because I'm seriously concerned for the future right now. So far as it seems, no one actually has a plan on where to proceed from here, and the economy doesn't like it one bit. The union itself is in peril, and god only knows whether the EU itself will be able to survive the rising euroskeptic sentiments that have just surged across the whole continent; if Le Pen and her Front Nationale in France get a big enough boost to make a Frexit possible, the entire thing could come crashing down in result.

All in all : :???:

The brexit is one thing, at least you're mostly destroying your own economy, but a frexit would be devastating. Would probably lead to a masxit of western European countries, I'm sure we wouldn't be far behind France.

I truly hope there will be a second referendum now that some of the negative economic effects are becoming apparent and that just a few more people would vote no.

Right now, the economic effects are the immediate reaction of the market and businesses having assumed a remain victory - and been assured it more or less consistently by the polls that the people would vote remain and thus had no real plan for leave when it won out. They basically got blindsided by it, and we're dealing with the consequences of that now, but in a week or two we should see where the economy really stands and the situation of the EU itself, but I'm not hopeful that it will survive.

If I had to lock onto a single issue and say that was the cause of leave winning, it'd be the complete failure of Labour to do anything to help out the Remain effort. It could be because Corbyn is himself a shy brexiter, but it's just another example of the party having been out of touch with its roots for years now - their support has been dipping in the North and the Midlands for years now as UKIP moves in, simply because people were becoming more and more disillusioned with politics and the lack of progress.

All in all, this is probably the result of some fifteen years of growing disillusionment, and I'm not particularly surprised it's going the way it is.

Lol, the name Brexit actually does bother me some and I felt it sounded like the name of a brand, crackers seem suitable.

Okay so guys excuse my ignorance, but didn't like the UK want to leave the EU? I mean, I thought they weren't part of it in the first place? Or something weird like that? In the news I did see a lot of "PANIC, ECONOMY EXPLODING" kinda thing, but again I didn't understand much about it since I've no idea of the general background. I've been trying to google about it but I keep finding about the economic repercussions and such and nothing about an "historical" background about it and whatever :/

We are/were a "special" member, so we get most of the things EU members get, but don't have the euro and some other stuff.

Basically this, for the most part. Before explaining things further, Asklar, you should take a look at this venn diagram:

Image

What the above basically means is that the UK, whilst part of the EU, isn't part of either the Schengen agreement or the Eurozone; the former means we're not a proper part of the open borders area of the EU and the latter is why we use the British Pound Sterling instead of the Euro.

I had no idea it was so complex actually, I recall hearing some of those other names but I thought they were sort of random synonyms for it.

So it is actually a bigger deal than I had thought. But aside from the whole economic aspect that has been/will be a very big part of the problems this'll generate (or at least on the news in national tv that's what they mostly talk about), what other important issues could there be?
