The core husks still have masses of conduit veins running throughout them, and you remember Madenuuk saying that they were used in a clay mixture for the doll’s outer shell, but it’ll take a while chipping all those veins free. You also don’t exactly have clay and a kiln to make more doll parts, either.

It looks like the vendors have all packed up now, all the goods packed up in wagons pulled by oxen, some large deer-like beast, and even a few muzzled drakes.

Pulling out your map, it looks like the closest town is Teleiat, so you leave the party and start heading over there.

The path through the forest doesn’t seem like the safest place, but you reach the city without incident.

Teleiat is surrounded by a large ring of water, you’d call it a moat but it seems more utilitarian than defensive. The outer ring of the city seems to be made of shorter towers and buildings, while the central chunk of the city has a few impressively tall structures.

Checking out the outer ring, passing numerous chirop in the streets, you locate a store that sells armor, and head on in, trading in your small buckler for 2 silvers and 5 coppers. You then check out the rest of their goods, which appears to be a fine array of armor, though all out of your price range.
