There aren't any other WW2 games like it though so I'm gonna keep playing it. I know how you feel, but it has an addicting feel to it like a battlefield game. The only brighter side to it is that it is free, and it has SOME fun moments. Don't ♥♥♥♥ get me started on the Soviets...They are so overpowered that it almost breaks me from wanting to play the game. I'm strictly US faction wise and I've finally gotten the 1903 bolt-action rifle, and I have a spade and anti-tank mines. It is tedious leveling up and getting things without paying for them, but for the aspect of free-ness it is decent. I can conquer like a boss, but most of the time I'm being drowned with sniper fire or tanks all over. Another good thing is how the guns do serve their purpose well. I'd love to see a lot of balancing and weapon addition, and I would appreciate it if they ♥♥♥♥ made handguns available a lot sooner. The historical aspect has been shitted on entirely too, and the become veteran aspect is god-awful. Sorry to rant but the game does grind my gears, but it has tons of potential to be successful. I like how you can name all of your stuff and how there is a form of separate branches. If you care to play the game with a sensible person, add me my in-game name is DMAN777 (caps make the name stand out and 777 because of DMAN being take, don't judge me).

From what I can tell though, it looks like it's going to fade away into the F2P garbage heap unless they do some reworking. Too much grind, balance issues and paytowin. It could be a good game, but unless they fix a lot of it it'll die.

Re: The Lounge
It's been kicking around for a few years as Cave Vehicle Engine. Data outsourced the engine coding to another guy and he's been working on it for quite some time. I'm not sure how much Data has to do with it, I assume he's been doing game logic and UI stuff.

Re: The Lounge
I meant more like, not even a hint about it finally having it's own forum section?

There are no hints because the forum section is literally brand spanking new. Now to fill it up with wholesome chatter and praise .

Yup, last I checked, Dan was mostly doing game logic and working on the game design side of things. There are a lot of people involved on the project design-wise, actually. Looks like it's going to be a pretty cool project.
I've unfortunately been super busy this last while (by which I apparently mean like 3 years if my Skype history is any indication... good god) so I haven't been too up to date on what's going on with it.

Re: The Lounge
Got an ergonomic keyboard sent by one of my fans, it halves my writing speed, at least for now till I get better used to the curves and the like. But if it helps me stave off RSI or carpal tunnel - which my brother has - then its worth the little slowdown.

Re: The Lounge
I'm using a laptop mostly and the only thing really ergonomic about it is the Dragon Slayer gaming mouse I have for it . I'm still getting used to its features and awesomeness since I've already had it for a few days, and I also got awesome headphones. I was supposed to get a new mouse pad, that's cool and comfy, but Amazon's shipping is being late per usual. Should of went to Ebay, but Amazon had some good deals at the time.

Re: The Lounge
I'd watch out for yourself. Not getting enough sleep is a silent killer, and you know you've hit the deep end when you go asleep at 4 am and wake up at 9 pm. Spring break has altered my circadian rhythm into pure sporadic chaos. DAMN YOU COLLEGE. On a brighter note, at least I've gamed to my hearts content (there is always room for more though ).

I once fractured my routine into four sections, each one hour's sleep. Surprisingly, I felt perfectly fine with it that way I was getting a ton of stuff done, but ultimately it was impractical. Now I am nocturnal. I get up at 8 at night and go to bed at twelve in the afternoon.
