Roll 34

The world as the players know it:

Name: John Freemaneth (TorrentHKU)
Race: Human
____________________

Wolf rushes Red Mage 1 and misses, while Swordsman 2 hacks again at Black Mage 2.

Black Mage 2 makes no attempt to dodge, taking another brutal slash, but then counters with three kinetic bolts, hitting Swordsman 2, Swordsman 1, and Archer, staggering all of them.

Red Mage 4 launches a trio of fireballs at Wolf while Black Mage 1 throws a trio of kinetic bolts, all landing.

Red Mage 2 hits Swordsman 1, Swordsman 2, and Archer with a fireball each.

Kleigg lands a few slugs at Red Mage 1’s head, looking like it knocked him up enough to stop him from casting, and it’s then that you make it to where the fight is and hit the ground with a blast wave, showering the brawl with dirt and dust.

”ENOUGH!”

The mages seem like they’re going to stop for now, no telling about your teammates though.

Red Mage 2 hits Swordsman 1, Swordsman 2, and Archer with a fireball each.

Once you can act, you take the opportunity to slug Red Mage 1 in the head three times, knocking him up enough that it looks like he isn’t casting any time soon.

John then appears out of nowhere and hits the ground with a kinetic blast wave, showering the brawl with dirt and dust.

John: ”ENOUGH!”

The mages seem like they’re going to stop for now, no telling about your teammates though.

You charge at Red Mage 1, attempting to tackle him to the ground, but he manages to sidestep and evade.

Swordsman 2 hacks at Black Mage 2, the latter making no attempt to dodge and taking another brutal slash, but then counters with three kinetic bolts, hitting Swordsman 2, Swordsman 1, and Archer, staggering all of them.

Red Mage 4 and Black Mage 1 then shower you with fireballs and kinetic bolts, all of them painfully landing. Red Mage 2 hits Swordsman 1, Swordsman 2, and Archer with a fireball each.

Kleigg seems to snap into action and throws punches at Red Mage 1, beating him out of action.

John then appears out of nowhere and hits the ground with a kinetic blast wave, showering the brawl with dirt and dust.

John: ”ENOUGH!”

The mages seem like they’re going to stop for now, no telling about your teammates though.

That man is a bit strange, but he's been with us on the road for quite a while, and he's not a Caelum follower, I can assure you. A bit simple at times, but a good man.
I apologize that our men jumped the gun and attacked you. We don't want any further trouble, let's all just walk away and pretend this didn't happen."

Wolf signals to his men, and the three of them limp back to position behind their boss.

John: "Alright. We don't want any trouble. We never did.

Kleigg: "I am sorry to have caused this trouble. Mages and the learned are not my enemies.
I humbly request that if I am to go a free brother in the faith, my possessions be returned."

Red Mage 2: ”We’ll let the rest of you go, you got your end of the beating and it’s not like we can fit you all in the wagon, but we got an order to bring this guy back. Reports were made and higher-ups back at base are waiting for us to bring him in. If we don’t then we’re in a load of ♥♥♥♥.”

Brynolf: ”Tell them that I personally checked out the situation and can confirm that the man you are ordered to capture is not of Caelum.”

Red Mage 2: ”M-magister Eitulta!”

The lamp shop owner is standing in the street, an ordinary brown cloak over his shoulders.

Byrnolf: ”I’m retired. Anyways, if you tell the folks up North that I checked it out, they’ll send someone later to personally verify.”

Red Mage 2: ”Well, if you say so.”

The mages give Kleigg back his items, and after a hesitant salute to Byrnolf, leave with their wagons North.

Archer: ”I didn’t get my arrows back.”
