Re: Ad Infidium (Roll 24)
Roll 24 The world as the players know it: Name: John Freemaneth (TorrentHKU) Race: Human ____________________ P’orihc: "Time to practice."You attempt to make a kinetic shell and heat the inside. Well, you get stuck on the kinetic shell part. Your skills in kinetics are in the impulse branch that relies on shockwaves and brute acceleration, while forcefields and immobilizing are of the fortification branch. It takes a bit of fiddling, but you manage to get a basic fortification kinetics technique down, stabilizing objects. Byrnolf: ”Ah, I guess I should explain it now. Casting magic outside of your body is a basic form of spirit magic, the mana branch. All mages can do it, but they don’t think about it that much. The kinetic orb and most pathic magic relies on range-casting, using ethereal tendrils. Persistent spells work off of an autonomous tendril that has become detached from the caster, and are a very basic form of spirit-entity, with the kinetic orb a good example of it.”____________________ Conditions:Stamina: 4/4 Mana: 4/4 AP: 3/3 Name: Kleigg (TheKebbit) Race: Human ____________________ "I move to learn more of my discipline. I hope to establish an order of people like myself - we will work from shrines and libraries to combat corruption, glorifying the supreme human will over petty monsters, spirits and imagined gods."???: ”I… see.”"First, though, I must set down my theses and build the path into nullification. I have not yet learned what I need to become a true holy man."???: ”Well, uh, good luck. I’d better be heading off, it’s late.”She leaves with quick paces, vanishing behind a building. ____________________ Conditions:Stamina: 4/4 Mana: 4/4 AP: 3/3 Name: Wolf (Areku) Race: Lupus ____________________ You climb up the tree, quickly but quietly. It takes a bit to reach the first branch, but once you do, you feel that you’re quite high up. The footsteps move towards your tree and stop at its base. ____________________ Conditions:Stamina: 8/8 Mana: 2/2 AP: 2/2 Full Stomach: 3/10 All stats +3 Name: P’orihc (Asklar) Race: Chirop ____________________ "Time to practice."You start by gathering your mana, focusing it to the light side (not that you know how to use dark-aspect magic anyways), and attempt to release it through a fingertip. The sensation of your finger burning makes you quickly stop your efforts. Hmm, looks like you’ll have to activate the effects outside and away from your body. Relying on your experience with pathic magic, you extend an invisible, ethereal tendril out of your finger, and heat a point of space above it. Your efforts are rewarded with a pinprick of light floating in the air, warming your finger that’s an inch away without burning it. Was that whole thing a meta conversation about whatever the ♥♥♥♥ I'm trying to accomplish with my weird homeless character? if so, lol
Or was it a plot hook that I fell asleep on?

> Try to "create" a tendril to be able to use fire at range.
"What would happen if I used the same pathic tendril as a channel for this fire magic? Is it even possible? Or would I just end frying someone's brain?"

Or was it a plot hook that I fell asleep on? It was a hook you missed and then snagged another.

Or was it a plot hook that I fell asleep on? It was a hook you missed and then snagged another. I don't think it would be socially acceptable to follow her...

Re: Ad Infidium (Roll 24)
When a stranger humors you, it's curiosity or intent, and when it's young stranger asking about your insight to the world [, and in this case about magic] it's an archetypical worldly elder and idyllic youngster situation.
That being said, you haven't completely turned down the flag, but it means the resultant plot line would involve a somewhat different narrative. CaveCricket probably isn't one to completely shelve something that isn't outside of the realms of possibility.
Either way, this village is going to get burnt down. And, I'm just not sure if this is going to be how he reintroduces the flag, anyways.

Re: Ad Infidium (Roll 24)
Oh no, Cavecricket knows I simply rationalise things!
But yeah, I'm the kind of person that wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth on any day, but a bad day: I'm pretty basic. Surprised to see the thoughts of someone that isn't as slow as I am pick up on such an direct development. I probably fit the description for a the main character of some kind of shoujo/shounen.
