Re: The Lounge
From what I've gathered, Mirror's Edge is game that looks cool on the surface, but is a linear game with obstacles in the way and not a more free/explorey environment that it may seem to have.
Like CoD.

Re: The Lounge
BRINK looks interesting. Mirror's Edge looks like those kind of games that are fun/innovative at first but later get too repetitive.

Re: The Lounge
Mirror's Edge was fun because it was short (easily beatable within like, 4 hours)
Downside is that a good 40% of it takes place indoors, which sometimes still lends interesting free-running opportunities in big open warehouses and stuff, but sometimes it just feels like a forced shooter. Overall I really liked it, hopefully they'll focus more on making it an open world and explorable game rather than a platformer/shooter.

Re: The Lounge
You can skip the shooting, you can't skip the bland corridors full of chest-high cover and the ventilation shafts you have to crawl through to avoid guards that you'd otherwise have to fight

Re: The Lounge
I tried it for half an hour or so, guess I was too dumb to see all the (probably obvious) grab points.

Re: The Lounge
For Mirror's Edge? All you need to focus on is the red-orange stuff, really.
Nice game, but super-short.

Re: The Lounge
The lightsaber with handguards and football droid are dumb imo, but for the rest it looked alright. The X-wing scene was badass. Major wrote: Hope the Empire wins this one. It'd be cool to see some more sympathetic characters on the dark side at least.
