Not in FFTA2 at least. In the original FFT and War of the Lions, there was permadeath, yeah.

I've been living under a rock all this time.

That's simple though. Just google "games like X" where X is a game you have fun playing.

Looking for more like Knock-Knock. Google yields no results.

Since Knock-Knock can be ambiguous for Gewgl, I would recommend directly to go to a webpage dedicated to video games.

I have the feeling that I spelt ambiguous wrong.

Post Re: The Lounge
Ah sod it, might as well make it official.

Some of you have probably noticed that I have been posting less and less often here, whether that being a late action to a RtD or my absence in this very thread. Well, simply put, the forum just doesn't captivate me as it once did. Long ago, this place was bustling with activity, but now...it's like a tomb in here. Off topic is littered with dead threads and absent users, whereas what felt to be only a short time ago this place was bustling with activity, and new RtDs bloomed like flowers in the midst of spring and everything was all dandy.

Since then, we've bled users. A lot of users. Activity has declined, a slow and gradual death as the forum continues its inevitable decline into obscurity and desolation. Before, I used to check this forum nearly three times a day, and work on plans for RtDs tailored for this forum and no other.

But what's the point of planning RtDs when they'll never see the light of day? When no one will discuss them as hoped, or that the much needed waiting list remains empty? What's the point of visiting this forum when activity has reached an all time low?

A few months ago, I found another forum. One so full of users, so full of life, that newly made threads can be pushed to the second page on a busy day, but one that was so civil only one admin was needed and only a handful of moderators. Order and peace reign supreme, yet there are serious discussions about all manners of things. We even have our own silly in-forum memes.

The more observant of you will have noticed that the quotes in my signature have changed, they too come from the new forum.

Against such a hub of activity, what hope did DRLFF truly have? I began to post on that forum, gradually at first, but now I post more there than I ever did on DRLFF.

In three months I have made over a thousand posts, and that number is steadily rising. I've even tested the waters of interest on my RtDs to see if people were interested in the stories within - they were, and people have asked questions that were never asked on DRLFF, a beautiful curiosity that I was all too happy to sate just as the interest shown quenched my own thirst. In time those RtDs, Fantasy especially, will live again, with a grandeur far higher than what was ever seen here.

I even have a story there, with forty three pages and twenty eight thousand views. In another tab I have the work in progress of part one hundred and twenty, destined to reach two hundred thousand characters in length, and the apex of my writing ability thus far.

So, I guess what I am trying to say is...well, bye. We've had a fun ride, but I am afraid this is where I get off.

Goodbye, everyone. I'll still be accessible via Steam if you wish to talk, and I'll check this thread for a week or two before closing this account down for good.

TL;DR : Caek makes a lengthy post for something that could be summed up with a few sentences.

DRL's been dead for a long while, man. Good that you found a new place though, that's cool.

Awful sad news, caek. You'll be a great loss. It's nice that you found a new place to spend your time in though Image

Still, you will be missed.

Not good ones, at least.

Other communities? I guess they do exist. Bit of a bummer to see you going Caek, but i guess it's understandable enough. I'm not exactly hella active either, i mostly hang around on IRC's nowadays, occasionally making a post to hog some attention. :v (also poking my head into the Toribash forums from time to time just to enjoy my fancy new golden name)

but ohey look i'm already hogging attention now

how about i display some silly perspective shenanigans in Angry Laser Space?

It's going to be optional, of course, since i doubt that this would appeal to everyone. I'm mostly doing it for the lulz and challenge, anyways. :v
