It's like that here too. First year everything was just like highschool but with more calculus in between. Second year, however, everything went crazy hard. Hopefuly I'll develop good studying hobbitses this semester and the following years won't be as much of a pain.

From what I've heard so far:

There was a trading ring on the "deepweb" where parties were trading nude pics and sex vids of celebrities in which they've hacked cloud (or wherever) in order to get them, one of the parties then leaked a photo(s) in which then lowered the value of these nudes considerably and now nearly all the parties are now just releasing them into the public.

Actually, it's a small ring, because each leak has been low quality, low quantity.
But more or less, this ♥♥♥♥'s been going on for years, and it's mostly a sport between ring members (providing new nudes = membership), and trading is over btc. The transactions, and the images are years old.

As far as anything goes, don't use apple because it's generally insecure, and do not host files on cloud services because those places are leakable.

As far as the deep web goes: They are the reason why no information is lost to the web, so please don't spread nudes, or children photos.
(That being said, it's probably not that hard to make a deep/dark site; you just need to make it unindexed, or some intranet.)


There are other speakers. Jontron, InternetAristocrat, MundaneMatt, Audino and that other guy (who are making The Sarkeesian Effect), thunderfoot, CHS (the feminist that wrote "Who Stole Feminism" in the 1990's... she's an equality feminism... a counter-ideology to the third-wave that the "blogger-journalists" perpetuate), and there's the possibility that Kincannon (an anti-SJW politician) may get in on the action.

Past that, Tumblr, Reddit, Funnyjunk, 4chan, GameFAQs, and some other groups are providing the main bulk.

Huh. Why would anyone store naked pics of themselves on a cloud? I guess there are this services that do it automatically, but why not be a bit more careful? Why not tape it in a VHS or take photos with an analog camera?

Something about them automatically being uploaded to a server upon taking the photo/video where they can't be deleted.
