feminsitfrequency is pretty bad, but no one would think twice if there were other people making accessible videos about gender politics in pop culture. It's such a shame since it's such a rich and important topic but Anita is the only game in town. And her videos do contain some valuable content like her earlier video showing differences between Lego sets- it's just a nice accessible little video showing some of the ways gender is constructed by marketing. It makes me terribly sad that outside of academia, feminism is almost entirely represented by either misguided bullies (tumblr) and all the backlash that creates.

I just want to see a video on social commentary relating to genders that doesn't have bull♥♥♥♥ citations or belief values. Something to actually push people more towards an equal understanding, not bogged down by sour grapes, or lack of understanding of sexual dimorphism and sociological behavior in men and women. Backed by credible information and statistics, and someone who would legitimately care about things. For one, someone could talk about practical armor for both genders, and maybe, you know, give guys some more scantily clad equipment too. TERA was good with the latter, monster hunter is good with the former. Then again, it all comes down to target audience, so it's a matter of fanservice, which is kinda not really an issue. But I'd say media in general shouldn't be targeted, but traditionalists. I'm kinda rambling here. Just.. sick of misguided bullies, and the lemmings who follow them.
