I actually like the freedom of action the most. Sure, you get missions in Shadowrun, but exactly how you carry them out is up to you. Stealth in and snatch things? Sure. Stealth in and plant explosive charges everywhere, stealth back out and explode everything? Sure. DON'T stealth in and just go in and kill things with a claymore? Ayup. The fact that you can be both silly and effective is quite appealing to me. :v
