Re: The Lounge
It sounds kinda like Crystal Castles if they were in a video game. Cool deal.

My favorite part is how he said a player should have the freedom to explore the world instead of dealing with long conversations, gates, and slow game mechanics. But in all of his videos he does the opposite and picks up a strategy guide, cutting corners, racing to the finish.

I'm guessing you completely ignored the point he tried to make about where he said he had no problem with the things he complained about. Only in the excessive amount that they were used in OoT to continually try to make it into a cinematic experience for the gamer is when he became fed up with it and he saw that it ended up just becoming a drag from one place to another treasure chest. It's okay though, you're not the only ♥♥♥hole to miss the point, let alone on this very page.

Re: The Lounge
His comments on needless and slow platform triggers was not about cinematics, but mechanics that were needlessly slow that broke interaction. The cutscenes in the game were evenly sparsed out, and his actual gripe with the treasure chest animations was that they generally didn't live up to the expectations of the items within them. You seem to just be arguing to be contrary, judging by the fact you missed the point. Why reiterate the point that he has no problems with the things he complained about if you're insulting people who disagree with his opinions?

Re: The Lounge
The majority of his complaints, the complaints he acted as though were factually a problem with the design of the game, stemmed from him being a child who hates reading and waiting and sucks at 3D games. Worse than that, a shitload of people are going to watch that video, take his words as intelligent and correct, and spread misinformation and stupidity wherever they go.

That part irked me the most. he considered his video to be some sort of critical and objective analysis while doing all of this. Furthermore, he inb4'd any sort of criticism as strawman arguments. Mack, nobody is telling you to not do what you want, but you should at least expect refutation when you enter an argument.
