It must just be where I live by the sounds of it.

Major wrote: Yeah, I heard that the denizens of Hell are a fairly polite bunch. Oh you know how it is. Sure you've got got those guys who like to stir up ♥♥♥♥ and preach about invading the overworld and enslaving it's inhabitants and sacrificing billions to the blood god Craz-Noran, Keeper of the Crimson Chalice, but they're not that numerous nowadays. Nah, Hell's just waiting. Why bother going through all the trouble of defeating the Twelve Guardians to open the Obsidian Gate when we can just sit back and wait for you all to come down here? As my grandmother used to say, "Raz'makaan vo durup sal pak." If you don't understand what that means, well, try and pronounce it in front of pentagram with a lunar eclipse on. You'll figure it out. Main reason Hell is so polite these days? Making deals with the overworlders requires good business etiquette and that rubs off into your everyday life. So whether you're at Starbucks (They've even got one down here! Gotta love franchising! ) trying to pick up a hot succubi (They don't take souls the way you think they do, it's more like a job since they act as negotiators/representatives since they are fine eye candy.) or bumping into Ostrakar the Butcher of Men while out on the town, everyone's polite! 'nother reason is it's pretty nice down here. It's always nice and warm all year round, we get high speed internet, cheap rent, absurdly low crime rate...Home sweet home indeed. If someone breaks the laws of hell, into the Lake of Eternal Fire they go! Sure, we get some troublemakers, but we make them upstanding citizens nice and quick. Like that Addie fella you guys sent in the forties. Talk about a madman, but a few decades without skin and having his entrails torn out only to grow back made him a productive member of society. He's an architect now. Last reason - the Twelve Guardians aren't even angels (aka, not pompous twats), but our own people. Pretty nice guys. They've got whole armies with them and ten percent of Hell's population keeps the other ninety percent from spilling onto the overworld if things ever get too rough. So yeah, Hell = best place to live.

Re: The Lounge
Hell sounds like a wonderful place compared to the overworld. Good thing i live in an entirely separate pocket dimension, where kings and queens are selected by their ability to sound exactly like a eurasian eagle-owl. The competitions are rather majestic, if i may say so myself. :v caekdaemon wrote: I've never actually seen someone not say thank you and all the other courtesies to a bus driver or people in general. It must just be where I live by the sounds of it. People rarely do it in Denmark, they're just too damn shy and reserved. The way i see it though, if i can make someone's entire work day a bit better by taking literally one second to say THANKS FOR THE TRIP on the way out, then why wouldn't i do that? Besides, it also helps ease off the stereotypical reputation that young adult males like myself tend to have. :U

Re: The Lounge
Do remember that Lolhus is one of the few towns I've been to where you exit the busses by the driver instead of at the back. That helps immensely with the social aspect of mass transit.

Re: The Lounge
I wave at the bus driver every time I exit
as in raise my hand, not wave
I didn't know that other nordic countries were shy and reserved though

Re: The Lounge
Impolite? Nah, most of us are very polite and friendly once you get us to speak. :v Most danes just don't say much or anything at all to strangers, unless they really have to. It's part of the culture, really, however messed up it might seem.
