Re: The Lounge
Holy mother of writing. :v I'm afraid that it's a bit too early on the day for me to be reading a lot, although what i have read seems quite well written. I might have to come back to this later on. c: Also since we're on the topic of writing, i can also post some writey things. It's a fairly long story that i'm still writing on, with 6 chapters in public so far, and another 4 in private because I AM TOO SHY TO PUBLISH THESE THINGS. But now i am shitting on the shyness in case that at least one person would like to read these things. It's a story called Strange Company, and it's taking place in a world where there are three main factions; Panmagia (medieval fantasy-style with loadsa magic), the Steamer Empire (mid-1800 Earth, unable to discover electricity, no magic) and the UTC (pretty much future 'murica, except less eagles screaming, and also no magic). Panmagia and the Steamers hate each other, and the UTC mainly just has to ward off the aggression of the two others (they could easily trump both of them in an all out war) while subtly helping them at the same time (they do not want to trump them). This story takes place in the Steamer Empire. I should warn you in advance that there is a prominently featured species of reptilian humanoids (draconians), although they are NOT substitutes for humans, who are still far and away the dominant species on the planet. I must stress that draconians are not meant to be furry characters, and i'm reasonably sure i've managed to avoid that notion pretty well. Also, they're written somewhat in the style of a play, mostly because that's how i felt like writing it. Note that the tone of this story is MUCH darker than you'd otherwise expect from me (especially in the later chapters); it's NOT a comedy. Lighthearted moments are of course present, else it wouldn't be me at all. :v SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO Chapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 4Chapter 5Chapter 6It takes me maybe 30-45 minutes to read through a chapter. I hear that the first chapter has a rather slow start, so please give it until maybe halfway through that chapter before judging too hard, but i do have full understanding if you don't care or don't want to or whatever. I've written it mostly for my own entertainment, but if someone else can enjoy it too, then that'd be nice.

Know any other good power metal bands? Lately I've been mostly stuck with Sparzanza, Sabaton and various Finnish artists.

Caek, I really wanted to read, I got to like the fourth parragraph and then scrolled down to realise it was incredibly huge.
You know, maybe we could have a guess the game thread, making stories like the one caek did, how the game is seen through the main character's eyes, and then people try to guess. Could be fun.

Re: The Lounge
@Shook, Glad you think it seems good My largest project is a story I am working on. Now at chapter 93! Each part is minimum 10k characters, but most usually get released at 30k instead. And I'll be honest, it's pretty dark at times. But at other times it's quite...happy. I'd say the quality is much higher, too, especially in the latest parts. That'd actually be pretty interesting. I'd post in that thread, if only because I'm a writing junkie. And that's no excuse for not reading! Just kidding. But I would like it if people read it :p

The closest I've got to hand is only Alestorm.

Re: The Lounge
I cut off my long hair.
There's something sad about seeing something that was once a part of you detached and sitting in the trashcan.

Re: The Lounge
I've never had long hair. Like, when I was a kid, my mom used to cut my hair very often, and then it began growing very thick.
I suspect that if I let it grow a lot, it'll become an afro. So yeah, in this trip of self discovery, I'm letting my hair grow.

My hair used to reach right above my butt. Made all the girls jealous.
Now it more or less looks like my avatar.
