Hey guys another mechanic change. You can draw up to three units of energy from mage stones that you have on you to increase your roll by that number for magic casting actions.

Blizzard: "We have ourselves a little spy here. I don't doubt he had something to do with Darla."

The air darkens around the figure, and his upper half vanishes, only to reappear right in front of Blizzard. Dropping the ice sword and reaching forward, Blizzard grabs the person by his hooded head and slams him down into the ground. The body remains still as the snow it lies on darkens with blood, and the other half in the distance falls over.

Blizzard: "So much for a good fight. Go check on Darla, I'll see how much information I can wring out of this one here."

You head off in the direction where you think they went - North!

And after a long period of walking, you and Horoma are in front of Vranhal's southern gate, waiting as the guards open the way for you.

Pulling yourself out of bed, you feel your body ache all over. Gritting your teeth, you fight the pain and stagger over to the backpack and open it up.

You stop when you see your hands reaching for the buckle. Your skin is pale, and covered in black splotches here and there, as if splattered with ink. That's probably something to ask the healer next time you see her.

Opening the pack, you look at the only two items inside: a sturdy dagger in a leather sheath, and leather archery bracer with a mage stone embedded on its surface.

Not a whole lot, but hey, it's yours. Though, you're not sure where your bow went. Or how you ended up here.

You jump high into the air with a blast of wind, launching yourself to the medical tents, and landing softly on the grass.

Well, nothing looks out of place. Karina is walking towards one of the white tents, probably to check on someone, though it isn't the tent that Darla was supposed to stay in.

Taking the dagger in your hand, you stand to face the tent's entrance and take a peek outside.

A human wearing a full suit of green-tarnished armor floats down from the sky, landing on the grass among the numerous other white tents. He has an ornate halberd in his hands, but doesn't seem to be looking for a fight.

Then, you notice a blonde-haired green-eyed woman in a white robe walking towards your tent. If your hazy memory is right, she's the head healer around here.

You head over to Darla's tent and take a look inside. She's wearing a simple white robe and lying on a cot, the blanket over here gently rising and dropping as she breaths. Her face is turned the other way, so you can't actually tell if her eyes are closed.

Can you tell if she's asleep?

Naomi: Not without asking her and seeing if she responds. She doesn't seem to have anything except the necklace with her, though.

You head through the doorway, with the ball of light over your head following. The room looks unremarkable, just some wooden chairs laying about and a pile of rubble in the far end of the room.

Or, you think it's a pile of rubble, until it starts moving as a whole, sliding along the ground into a corner like a giant slug.

Slipping the dagger into its sheath, you quickly hop over to the bed and sit on it upright, facing the tent entrance.

The tent flaps billow inward as the healer enters, not at all trying to make a quiet entry. Her expression is flat, but her greenish blueish eyes analyze you from head to toe, taking in as much information as they can within the span of a second.

???: "Hey there, how're you doing? Your memory probably took a few hits, but you should be fine."

"Oh, hello. You are...? Nice to meet you, and, uh, thank you for saving me, I suppose. I hope you could answer some of my questions, if you would kindly?"

???: "Of course."

(it's best if you make your own dialogue for your character's speach in its entirety, but oh well)

Black splotches, what hurt you, what happened: You were aiding in defending the eastern gate of the city from corrupted, and your squad was nearly wiped out. The few survivors, including you, were exposed to varying levels of corruption. You were apparently one of the "lucky" ones that survived and at the same time didn't mutate, your body's affected "cells" simply died off, resulting in dead spots throughout your body.

Apparently that's a lot easier to deal with than mutations, and all of your internal organs and brain have been repaired, though a few of your memories have been wiped. Your discolored skin is from it being considered a "minor organ" and only healed enough so you won't end up dead, so parts of it will fall off and heal on its own. You're also in the southernish end of the city, in a cluster of white tents used as the medical center.

And, your bow has been apparently left at the sight of the battle.

???: "There are more corrupted coming from the east, and we need every capable soldier to hold them off. Do you feel well enough to fight?"
