Close. They made sites that look like an official site endorsing a Liberal candidate at first glance, but once you start reading you realize that the sites are bashing the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. Donation links and email signups are then for "Screw This Guy" causes, rather than for the candidate themselves.
Legally, sorta grey. Probably not outright violating laws.
Morally, underhanded and kinda scummy.

When people realize this, they probably will start liking the republicans even less.

People have stuck with them through much worse than this.

I hope they can bear the animosity of the moderates.
