Please recommend me a fighting game.
Preferably one that can be played with a keyboard easily.

I've heard that Persona 4 Arena's a pretty good fighting game.
I don't know how it plays with a keyboard, but I don't think it should be a problem.

You guys are great at recommending fighting games.
Try Melty Blood Actress Again, it's free, Nipponese, and full of vampires from everyone's favorite visual novel and anime.

I've always meant to get into Melty, the few times I've played it it looked cool but I really need to be refining my skills in Persona (Sothe, P4A is a fighting game), Blazblue, and Street Fighter... Yet instead of any of those things I always just end up making costumes in Soul Calibur.

Street Fighter is always a recommended game, the community is a bit too serious for me but it's still pretty fun and gets at the essence of fighting games: spacing and yomi. Outside of a few characters like Sakura and Evil Ryu, combos/execution isn't too big of a deal and it's one of the few mainstream fighting games available on PC.

I really recommend you at least pick up a cheap game pad cuz you aint gonna be able to play keyboard at offline events. Once you get a little familiarity with fighting games online is no substitute for offline play.

Mortal Kombat, nice for gore
MVC3, meh go for MVC2 much better arcade fighter action
Melty Blood (Actress Again/Act Cadenza/ReACT/default) all really nice fighters. I don't like the 'blobby' pixels of Actress Again. But I do appreciate the increase in the character roster.
Soul Caliber, I swear all I do in this game is make characters, I really liked the fourth one (over the fifth one) for having the most diverse set of weapons/styles.
Blazblue. smooth and nice gameplay
Persona 4 Arena, much of the same 'gameplay style' of blazblue (due to developers) but it has the characters of persona 4 which is awesome and each has unique fighting style coupled with personas make it pretty darn interesting
Streetfighter: summed up by contrary. I don't like this game that much though, definitely not as much as melty blood.
I've been meaning to try out SkullGirls; but, I'm not sure if it's any good.

Here's a cool novelty: Cyberbots. Basically a mech fighting game; really interesting mechanics and ridiculously fast paced.

If you're looking for a more simplistic fighting game, like a brawler (smash bros or something) there's the indiegame Megabyte Punch which is a brawler where you go on an adventure, find parts and make a fighter. Really interesting to do different part combinations. (However not keyboard friendly)

One Must Fall 2097 is a nice, slower paced fighting game from ye olde times. Runs very well with DOSBox.

In SC4 I really missed the OC styles from 3 that weren't tied to a character already in the roster.

I've been playing a lot of Arcana Heart 3 on my keyboard, that game is great. If you ever tried Vanguard Princess, it's kinda like that.
