QUESTION! QUESTION!
What are those little red melted wax seal looking things with all the writing on their armor and weapons?

It's a seal that shows purity.

Among other things, it means they're better than you, unless you also have a purity seal.

Thanks man! Generally I give them about 12-15 hours of solid work, but I'm trying to get in the swing of having a longer attention span to really give them some love. This last one was maybe 17-18 hours?

i never have the attention span to sit down for that long to work on one thing, but i really wish i did because it really pays off.

my half of an art trade with shook, he asked for a sharp-dressed velociraptor:

i call him 'velociclasstor'.... heheh
i just noticed how sloppy the colouring really is, i worked on a light background the whole time and im used to just letting the magic wand tool do the work.

Ohohohohoho, as i mentioned in the PM, this is grand and classy! I ALMOST feel bad for not outputting similar quality... But only almost, since it did go comparatively well for me. I suppose i might as well post my part here. Veve requested a gorgonopsid, so i was like hey, i can maybe do that!

Maybe. :U

First of all, good ♥♥♥♥ lord that is an amazing painting! All those hours definitely show on the end product, the colouring and rendering and aaa everything is impeccable.
Secondly, you generally spend around ten times as many hours on paintings as me, so y'all shouldn't be complaining about lacking attention span, heheh. I consider it a major achievement if i get myself to spend more than 1.5 hours on one thing. :v (i have done that maybe twice now, with only the first case being a definite yes)
To be fair though, that lovely painting up there does have a million times more detail than the play-dough things i tend to ♥♥♥♥ out, which i reckon is what takes time.

Them's some majestic dynosaurs. I like the colours used Veve, purple and cyan seems like a hot combination currently :p

So I've been following seminars on dynamic sketching for the past few weeks, and made a compilation sheet of work from my sketchbook.
It's been a lot of fun, and I learnt a ton from it!

I think I'm going to get myself a tablet eventually. I find drawing with a mouse pretty damn awkward, it doesn't feel right which inturn makes corners awkward. I was pretty decent at sketching back in school, though I failed most of my art stuff when it came to colours.

Anyone here know of any good starter tablets?

Sweet jesus ♥♥♥♥ you're improving fast Adriaan, and you already were hella good before. You're very rapidly approaching what i refer to as god tier art skills. In fact, you're pretty much there. :I

Thanks Miggles, Shook! I appreciate it

Here is an attempt at typography/graphic design/whatever ya call it I had to rush to finish today..
The quote is a comment on advertising pages in newspapers, from Herbert Bayer, a Bauhaus typographer/graphic designer.
Kind of an unrelated quote, but I wanted an excuse to do something with Bayer and the Bauhaus style

Any critique on would be welcome since I don't really know what to do with this kind of stuff
