I wasn't implying that Pokemon is episodic, just that gen V is still worth playing. Gen VI doesn't trump gen V, so like you said, "each game is intended to be its own, new, and better experience". So why not play gen V anyways?

Because he doesn't have enough money to buy both Gen V and Gen VI.

But you can emulate Gen V perfectly well, and buy Gen VI.

OK? i would like to play it eventually maybe, but i wont as of yet
