Disc access is much slower than the data rate on SATA cables so it's going as fast as is possible given the two hard drives.

I could set up polls, asking people what they want, giving them both if it matches strongly enough. And since I'm so bent on starting a business.. I'm going to need a team.

Be sure it's something that fits your tastes, and their tastes, and market accordingly! [Hopefully you've been taking notes from the weekly prisoners on community service hours]

Re: The Lounge
So my brother just informed me of a rather interesting financial trick that is, rather surprisingly, not illegal even though you are exploiting the banks. Mostly because every time a law tries to pass to make it illegal, the law is shot down for reasons unknown.
Anyway. You take a £100,000 loan from a bank, and use that to set up a subsidiary debt collecting company. You don't pay the loan, so they pass it to a debt collection service. Then you buy that debt from the bank using the money in the subsidiary company. The bank will try to get it off the books as soon as possible, so they'll sell it cheap since they gain nothing if you are unwilling to pay for the debt. Because you now own your debt via the subsidiary company, you can write it off as bad debt. It then ceases to exist, netting you substantial profit.
And a lot of people do this. Which both scares me and makes me realize why we occasionally have economic problems.

Re: The Lounge
Why do imbecile bankers approve 100,000 dollar loans without first asking why in the first place?

Re: The Lounge
Surely the hole in that plan is if the bank just said "No, ♥♥♥♥ you, your balls are mine," and sent in the repo men. Just to discourage future bank rip-offs.

Sothe wrote: Why do imbecile bankers approve 100,000 dollar loans without first asking why in the first place? Company startups. Just say you are starting a debt collection service. And as you said, imbecile bankers. Major wrote: Surely the hole in that plan is if the bank just said "No, ♥♥♥♥ you, your balls are mine," and sent in the repo men. Just to discourage future bank rip-offs. Thing is, the bank in that case has to pay to get a debt collection service to do such a thing for them. Instead, you pay them to buy the debt. The bank probably thinks that you are gonna do the debt collection on your own dime instead of giving it over to the bank. Such things do exist. Besides, things like this happen all the time. Debt collection companies, for instance, buy large amounts of debt, I'm talking several hundred people, for several hundred pound. The principle is the same, instead you are buying your own debt, then writing it off, because hey, you apparently owe money to yourself.I would seriously not recommend doing it, though. You are walking a very, very fine line between legal and fraud.
