Otherwise, I too would be a sapper or something.

Probably looking at armourer myself, get to play with all the coolest toys. If I join.

Your experience in the military can vary a lot country to country. Not sure how relevant a US'ers military romp would be to someone in NZ. Not useless, certainly, but take whatever's said with a grain of international salt.

Yeah, apparently the NZDF is a bit lovey-dovey. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Quick question, is anyone here besides Grif in military service, and would you recommend it?

No, I wouldn't recommend joining the Neo-Wehrmacht, no matter how well they may pay you

Oh you're from New Zealand...
I don't know. Just as long as you're not helping a world power

Really, it comes down to what you personally want to do. There are a lot of roles in the military. Vehicle drivers, infantry, office clerks, chaplains, cooks...

A long list indeed.

So happy the director didn't pull off anything dickish.

Actually, he always did do dickish moves. He admitted to making up plenty of the plot on the fly. Though it was a perfect ending despite Vince's ♥♥♥♥ he always pulls.
Also there's a spinoff prequel to the show starring Saul Goodman in production

BETTER CALL SAUL

On another note
How is SnK considered a good anime again?
It started off as a promising horror but turned into a special snowflake power level fest.

Don't get me wrong it looks like good stuff but..

~45 minutes seach
S1: 7 eps
S2-4: 13 eps each (equivalent to watching three standard run animes in a row)
S5: 16 eps

It's a matter of taste. It's good if you think it is. Don't like it? That's fine. I haven't watched SnK.

Yeah I actually didn't like that

But it is a good show.

Final of Breaking Bad was a little lower key than we might be used to but it was the end the story deserved.

The best part of SnK (as someone who hasn't watched it and likely won't) is the opening music. It's so catchy and the brass parts are amazing.
