Re: Animos
Jojo's the best, except the anime for it is subpar. It's all about the manga. (and game)
Ben watching Yu Yu Hakusho over again, also planning on reading Bad Company, a delinquent manga.

Re: Animos
You can watch a multitide of animes (Legally!) at http://www.crunchyroll.com/videos/anime. Not being a premium member means that you're pretty much stuck with standard definition, but still, being free and all, it's really an excellent service.

Re: Animos
I have a bunch of friends who like JoJo so I ended up watching the first season and some of the second. It was initially pretty adorable in a B-Movie kind of way but that stuff is only endearing for so long.
I know a lot of people aren't a fan of the Crunchyroll website but there's a great app I've been using a whole bunch. Unlike the website there's only one very short ad for the beginner and it's always just the "buy Crunchyroll" video.
Izen if I had to recommend 3 animes I'd recommend
Gurren Lagann to rep action and fun Princess Jellyfish to rep powerful emotional content and meaning and Familiar of Zero to rep pandering
Toss in NGE for seriousness and a little pretentiousness and I think you have a pretty good appetizer plate of anime.

Izen, yes pls. NGE? The Original, or the Reloaded Movies.
Also, I would very much like a set of aninumus to watch, and enjoy.

Re: Animos
It's hard to recommend stuff without knowing people's preferences, but I do think Gurren Lagann can be pretty universally enjoyed.

Ben watching Yu Yu Hakusho over again, also planning on reading Bad Company, a delinquent manga. Did you see the new anime? It just came out at the end of 2012, I thought it was really good. It only covers parts 1 and 2, but they teased a part 3, which would be the hypest.

Re: Animos
The first two were pretty great, but the third one. Jesus ♥♥♥♥ christ, what the hell happened to the series.

Re: Animos
The third one wasn't bad, but I have no idea what the hell happened to it being a remake of the original.

Subs, just because the voice acting is always so grating on dubs. that isnt always true for instance, 2 of my favorite animes, cowboy bebop and TTGL, have great dubs. i would actually recommend listening to the dubbed version over the subbed, for those 2 at least. speaking of, you should watch those.
