"If you don't want your drone to go down, don't fly it in town,"

Brilliant.

No you can't have it both ways you stupid shits. Cops survey what you do, and you aren't legalizing cop killing. You're also surveyed at your jobs, to make sure you aren't doing nothing. ISPs survey you too, and people you pay bills to, and bank employees, and car insurance providers, and Apple products, and Netflix, and pretty much everything you do. It's a huge leap to start calling a flying camera "1984", since its not enslaving you, and it's definitely not piercing your tinfoil hats. Even Apple is more 1984 than these drones. And keep in mind that without surveillance, America would've probably fallen post-WW2. I'm a freak about my privacy, but you don't see me committing high treason cause "they took muh freedums". The government doesn't give any ♥♥♥♥ about what kind of asinine petty crimes you commit in your spare time. They're looking for actual threats, and no, paranoid farmers are not a national threat. Though, if you're a farmer who wants to shoot down government property and conspire against the military, you're indefinitely a local threat. It's not an invasion of privacy to get a birds eye view of potential threats; Google has a birds eye view of the whole world, and you all praise them for being the greatest thing in the world since Wal Mart (which is probably where you're fed propaganda about how "the govmint gonna take my baby" along with some complimentary burgers). An actual invasion of your privacy would be if your computer was bugged, or if you were being stalked, or if your McNuggets smuggled tracking beacons into you. If you hicks act like this all the time, I say you all deserve more than just a "once over" from a robot that takes pictures. Ironically, corporations are what these idiots should be worrying about, but they're part of the "corporatocracy crusaders" who put these exaggerated ideas into their minds in the first place.

Ignore this and carry on

So this whole Snowden affair just passed you by, huh?

Are you channelling the spirit of Steve Jobs there or something Sothe?

Dearest Sothe,
You should do a little reading on why U.S. law explicitly prohibits phone tapping. A quote from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_I ... llance_Act for your consideration:

"The FISA resulted from extensive investigations by Senate Committees into the legality of domestic intelligence activities. These investigations were led separately by Sam Ervin and Frank Church in 1978 as a response to President Richard Nixon’s usage of federal resources to spy on political and activist groups, which violates the Fourth Amendment."

Amount of corruption pretty much directly correlates to the potential for corruption.

"They're looking for actual threats"
Threats to who? Me and you? Or incumbent power structures? Also, exactly what kind of threat is a drone going to spot flying over a Colorado town? A big sign on somebody's roof saying ALLAHU AKBAR?

"Google has a birds eye view of the whole world, and you all praise them for being the greatest thing in the world since Wal Mart (which is probably where you're fed propaganda about how "the govmint gonna take my baby" along with some complimentary burgers)."
This is stupid. Who, exactly, is "you all"? Since when does everyone love Wal-Mart? Or is this just you displaying your inability to make a rational point without resorting to generalizations, straw men, and ad hominem? And, for the record, "the govmint gonna take my baby" is an actual danger considering CPS has financial incentive to take away your children. Every year they get a huge cash bonus for taking away more children than the previous. Did you not hear about the big scandal surrounding CPS a while back? Literally taking orders for other peoples' children? This actually happened, dude, no tinfoil hats to be found.

"If you hicks act like this all the time, I say you all deserve more than just a "once over" from a robot that takes pictures."

Who are these "you hicks" you're addressing anyway? Or are you just hiding your opinionated ignorance behind a screen of condescension and total lack of logic?

"An actual invasion of your privacy would be if your computer was bugged, or if you were being stalked, or if your McNuggets smuggled tracking beacons into you."

Little black helicopters aside, our computers are bugged. Have you not been watching the news? The NSA is data mining internet traffic looking for keywords. I would, in fact, be willing to bet this particular thread has been saved on an NSA server somewhere because of a few keywords having been mentioned. To insure this, nitrate fertilizer jihad NSA death to america C4 blasting caps dirty bomb yellow cake uranium.

Now that I've, in a logical and rational manner, highlighted a few of the things you have spewed, allow me to stoop to your level.

You are an ignorant ♥♥♥♥ government trusting uninformed uneducated moron. You've clearly demonstrated a complete and utter lack of knowledge about the current geopolitical situation, current issues, our constitution, human rights, and the English language. You actually advocated physical violence to your fellow human beings over the expression of an opinion. That is ♥♥♥♥ disgusting, dude. How would you like it if you said this stuff to somebody in person and he kicked your ♥♥♥♥ teeth in? I would never do this to you and would defend your right to say these things with my life if necessary, but I would really just really love it if you pondered the possibility of that happening for a moment, and realizing it's equatable to what you just said. It's ♥♥♥♥ disgusting, it's archaic, it's sub-human, and you're human garbage juice for thinking that's okay.

"It's a huge leap to start calling a flying camera "1984", since its not enslaving you, and it's definitely not piercing your tinfoil hats."

No it's not you ♥♥♥♥ idiot, it's another step on the path to 1984. Are you under the opinion that Orwell envisioned a sudden massive change in society producing the state of the world in 1984? Or do you think it's likely a bunch of little things, all easily understandable and acceptable on their own but adding up to something far more sinister?

"You're also surveyed at your jobs, to make sure you aren't doing nothing. "

Seems more likely to be a bunch of little things to me.

"Cops survey what you do, and you aren't legalizing cop killing"

That's because it's already legalized. The problem with the drones is they are utterly divorced from the 4th amendment's protection against unlawful search and seizure. If a police officer breaks into your home without a warrant and attempts to arrest you, you are legally allowed to resist this arrest up to and including taking the officer's life.

What utterly and completely blows me away about this post of yours, though, is just how much faith you seem to have in the American government. Watergate, Bay of Pigs, Guantanamo, secret trial-less executions carried out by drone strikes. PRISM, Bradley Manning, the Iran-Contra affair, the Patriot Act. These are just a few of the biggest and more recent scandals and you should really take a look at just how misplaced your trust is. If you really, truly believe that a bunch of rich white men who have lived their entire lives utterly divorced from the plights of the common man by becoming career politicians ('career politician' is a word which here means 'someone who is really good at lying who decided to use that talent to become a politician and so their real interests lie in keeping their jobs, not doing what is right') have your best interests, and not their bank account balances, at heart, you really should kill yourself because you are a drain on the forward progress of the entire human race. It's the only ethical thing to do.

You're a ♥♥♥♥ retard. The next time you decide to be a condescending, generalizing, ad-hominem-ing, straw-man-making undereducated ♥♥♥♥ and post a big block of poorly formatted poorly worded stupidity riddled with grammatical errors, do us all a favor and throw your computer out the window. I pray that you are sterilized before you can reproduce.

EDIT: AND ANOTHER THING.

Do you understand the concept of 'innocent until proven guilty'? Because that's literally the base of our entire judicial system. Warrant-less searches (aka flying drones over your property taking pictures, or scooping your internet traffic) are based on the COMPLETE ♥♥♥♥ OPPOSITE, aka guilty until proven innocent. You're willing to give up your rights for 'security' (from terrorists? Cars have a higher death toll, by literal orders of magnitude, than terrorism ever will.

I'm not saying I "have nothing to hide", I'm saying that this is nothing but a distraction from worse things.

4. That's not a computer bugging. That's called whistleblowing, which is something entirely different and you look like an ass referencing it out of context. I am also an advocate of whistleblowing.

5. You must be seeing something on this page that I'm not

2. I feel like you did my job for me here.

Means you might have a good reason to be interested in lawfully blowing up government drones if you're growing tomatos.

Yes I know, I was the one who posted it. I don't think the proposed ordnance was only for camera-carrying drones. "Oh sorry sir we can't give you your bounty, this one was carrying bombs." It's relevent because I might not want bomb-carrying drones flying above my ranch..

Snowden was blowing his whistle about computer bugging. Guess that whole thing did pass you by, huh.

Well if you were paying attension you'd see that I was responding to your list of things that never happen with instances in which they do.

Well if I'm a midwestern farmer who owes the bank money on my hydroponic tomatos, I might suddenly have very good reson to want to shoot down a drone I see unexpectedly..

Way ahead of you brother.

I like the part where a principle of America, a Government protecting of- and limited by the Governed, stopped being a thing.
I like the part where security, and privacy are considered a mutually opposed binary.
I like the part where you forgot the quote “To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.” -Voltaire
I like the part where you forget that America is supposed to be the house or nation undivided, towards a common goal, and greatness.
I like the part where you forgot that America is the nation in which it was decided that a far-away power, a powerful power, and a non-consenting power is not necessarily a power that should govern, and should be unquestioned.
I like the part where you forgot that this is a joke, and no bars if it actually succeeds, and that it is astonishing that so much surveillance equipment, and resultant fiascoes are cropping up, as of late. Or did you not read the article.

Looking back from last night.
It says both "ignore this post", and MANY many general insults.
If you think I'm pulling the "I was just trawling card xddd", then you either are just trying to win an argument or are too stupid to pay attention to my post.

You'd be surprised the context clues you can get from people that are directly referring to you, even without the quotes. It's as if arguments have to be self-sufficient in their own right, to stack up another's.
