I can't blame him, even I'm not too happy with current progress. We don't have anyone making art assets so we can't make any sort of new content and Data hasn't been giving us much news on the engine-side of development. Abdul and I are working at what we can, improving the AI for him and balancing weapons for me, though I've been a tad busy myself and my end is going a bit slow.

Understandable, I suppose. Good pixel artists are hard to come by, though I have to say Major's work for the Recomp is outstanding.

I'd like to move on to another mod project after I'm done with R18 but I can't do much without an artist, and I'm questioning whether it'd be worth the time and effort. :???:

most of your list is either already in the game or has been done before by other modders, you could download all their mods and pack all the things you like into a single mod pack, but you would have to ask them if you can upload it and give them credit if you wanted to upload it.

edit: i had replied already but thought it was an old topic cus i was looking in the wrong spots for when the posts were made xD

What about weather effects? Buy a bomb the makes it rain super hard to erode away the dirt or to flood in a cave, or something that generates wind to push off units in high places to their deaths or something...

More non-humanoid drones, especially flying ones. They're a mainstay staple of most of the science fiction I read these days, from Alistair Reynolds to Iain Banks and if you've ever played with a quadcopter or seen a video of a swam of them controlled by an AI it certainly looks like thats the way things are headed. The sentry / helper drones from the aco mod are ♥♥♥♥ rad -- too bad they randomly crash my game.

Rideable gunships (air cavalry - like helicopters today) would be interesting too.

With the modules, let's say it's just a simple piece with the two sides but no top or bottom, like an H without the middle leg. Instead of having just that, I'd like to see the option of having just either side, instead of both. This way, instead of having to go through different menus and having to find out what works and how long each thing is, and instead of having a tiny little tunnel, I would be able to make bigger tunnels and place my units on a different heights with ease.
