In regards to the shotgun, generally speaking: The longer the barrel of the gun, the greater the range, power, and accuracy, but at the cost of greater weight. A shorter barrel is quicker to move around and aim with. In the case of a shotgun, the barrels might even be of different types entirely: A typical shotgun barrel used with buckshot or birdshot is designed in such a way to accommodate a storm of shrapnel going down it, while a rifled barrel is designed to fire solid slugs at a longer distance and with greater accuracy.

Non, I used to be a little envious of the interesting events in your life, but man, that drama must suck.

I find it mostly that my life has been for the most part empty, I guess, I find it very easy to find time to look at things in a listless, and detached manner, and feel bad about my poor memory, and 20/300 vision.

Anyways nice to see you can stay a while, and talk.

Switching barrels on the Mossberg 500 is quick and easy.

Heyyy that's a nice gun.
What's the reason for switching it out? Is it stock or made out of another material?

Both barrels are smooth bore, but I got the shorter one (the longer one came with the gun) in the event that I need a lighter, easier-to-use shotgun. It's pretty much the same as the longer one but more work if you want to mount sights on it. "Home defense," I suppose.

I try to stay non chalant, but it's not always easy when half of these people I've known since primary school. Also 20/300 vision? How do you even exist without a pair of glasses ten inches thick?

I'm not lying, the glasses are particularly thick, a combination of an atrophied left eye, and finding out that my peripheral vision is superior to straight on sight is ridiculous.

Anyways, things are alright, I can still view a monitor.

When I was at Cabela's when I was in Michigan, I was astounded.
Guns are cheap. Like, really cheap. They were selling pistols with 14-shot magazines for little over $170. There was an 8-round pump action shotgun for $400.
I can't guarantee the quality of any of these cheap guns, but damn. Just.. damn.

The only gun I ever plan on having is a single action revolver. I don't have any idea which. I just really like those.

I actually know rather little about people from DRLFF, except that they are on DRLFF.

I would like to fire a gun one day, find out a little more about what it's like. There is only so much you can learn from watching videos.

I would like to try archery.

If you want to know things, I suppose you can ask, I've been somewhat a part of this forum for long enough, at least to let ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ know a detail or two.

I wouldn't bother trying to learn more about the userbase, seeing as half of them are misogynists.

There is no bait. Just remembering the argument a month back when a handful of you were being misogynistic.
Go ahead and call me a "troll" for recalling your ♥♥♥♥ behavior. Sure it may seem spontaneous, or like I'm fishing for replies out of nowhere. It's simply how I perceive this site; otherwise I would say something like "yeah a lot of people here are really friendly"
Congrats, you may now tip your fedoras.

It was Foa mostly, I think.

I like some of you

Was just messing around. *shrug*
More like a subtle approach at setting my own bait to make you post, and in a way hopefully prevent any arguments from being made.
Anyways, I'm debating whether or not to use my long barrel at the firing range Sunday or the short one. Long is more accurate, but I'm interested in getting a feel for the short. I'm also having some friends come along as well, so I'll have to consider that too.

I prefer long barrel over short, but have somewhat of an obsession with obrez rifles.
