 The shadow above the right eye might look off because I had to darken it in gimp because it looked a lot brighter in the picture than in real life. Also, I am really bad at drawing hair, and probably anything in general.

 moar pones, tried to do something more dynamic than static. Most of my character poses seem really stiff and immobile. At least there's some flow to this one.

It looks good, and the face is very defined, but perhaps too defined. He looks like crumpled paper, especially at the chin, which is jagged. The lips look good, but they curve in too sharply at the left (His left). The nose seems a bit flat for a red-ball nose. His right eye is missing the.. uh, triangular bit. Whatever that's called. It also lacks the make-up piece (or what I assume it to be) to the up-left (facing us). His eyebrows are kind of blocky.

He looked up from his desk at the clock in front of him and immediately realised that he had spent far too long rambling in his message to his wife, the clock had almost reached midnight and he had work to do. He rolled the paper into a tube and wrapped a band on it at each end to prevent it from unfurling. Out of the window he managed to spot a relatively close star, and briefly wondered if that was the one their orbital star was sharing its orbit with, in a bizaare tango between balls of hot gas. Coming back to his senses, he threw himself out of his chair and clambered into the thin corridor he had heard his summon from. On his way out, he smacked his hand on a button to close the hatch behind him and ran sideways to the end of the hall, ignoring the hatches to storage areas and other modules on his left and right until he got to the very end, where an open hatch invited him into the bridge. Briefly Jack wondered what life would be like once he got outside of the ship again, but he didn't have time to dwell on it for too long. On a table in the center of the bridge was a large touchscreen with a map of the local area displayed for the crew, then a long concave window along the front of the ship behind that, split down the middle by an enormous clock that appeared to tick in the most bizaare fashion, swaying from side to side in a chaotic motion, sometimes appearing to have more hands than others. It never failed to hypnotise Jack for a time, and luckily his companion distracted him before he became too engrossed in that to miss his message sending opportunity. "Come on, come on, it's not like we've got all of time and space to send this thing, throw it in already!" The other crew member by the name of Li, a slim asian woman with a nagging voice and short stature wasted no time in using this moment to berate Jack. He knew that Li didn't mind his company really, however, so was quick to snap back at her. It helped to keep the fighting to jokes, especially when cooped up in a ship like this for any length of time. "Not sending a letter to your wife, then?" "I already did, now throw the damn letter in so we can get back home sooner." She looked at him with mock anger and turned around to shut down the engines. Jack opened a small round catch on the side of the clock and slid his letter into the center of the clock neatly, where it landed next to Li's letter. Jack knew very little of Li's wife, but used it as a good counter to anything Li threw at him. The sound of him sealing the catch almost perfectly synchronised witht he sound of the engines cutting off completely. It was always bizaare not to have that gentle hum to reassure him that the ship was still ok. "Ready?" Li called to him over her shoulder fromt he control panel. "Yeah, whatever." All the lights in the cabin went out, and all that could be seen was the gentle twinkling of the constellations out of the front window. Then the clock started to light up, glowing brighter and brighter with a mystical blue from its core until suddenly a bright flash blew from within, and Jack slammed his eyes shut. In that instant, the space-time clock struck midnight, and the ship was transported to a completely different moment and a completely different place in time, while back on Earth two pieces of paper rolled into tubes flashed into existence, each addressed to a lonely wife.

They're operatives that deal in nukes and nuke accessories; in SS13 a random bunch of players are picked to play a team of operatives tasked with lowing up the station with a nuke.
