Separate Paths

What? Separate Paths is an experimental RtD. Characters are started separate from each other, with random inventories, and may or may not choose to interact. The world will have well-defined areas and paths, but the story is not set in stone.
Rules: 1. Don't be a ♥♥♥♥.
2. Stay in-character, don't metagame. (Reading other people's rolls and then using that info against them even if your character hasn't learned about it, for example.)
3. Please use proper language. Feel free to swear like a sailor, but don't spek laik dis.
4. I can change things at will, so please don't get too attached to anything.
And have fun! But that isn't a rule.

+1 passive skill (Something that does work in the background. These can be fairly powerful, but again I make the decisions.)
+1 active skill (Activated manually to perform its function)
+2 traits (+1 to two different things or +2 to one thing. This means rolls relating to these things get a bonus.)
Example:
Character types:
- Arcana: You have a high affinity with magic. Learning, using, and creating magic spells and artifacts is natural to you. You can tap into local essence to regain mana.
- Brute: You are very strong and muscular. Lifting heavy objects is a piece of cake, and nobody wants to get in a close fight with you. They're too scared. You can also carry more in your inventory.
- Rogue: You stay in the shadows. You are sneaky and quiet, and can lie your way out of most situations. People notice you much less often.
- Ranger: You are a great shot. Shooting projectiles is your
thing. You have a great aim and are very dextrous. You reload and fire ranged weapons much faster and can shoot farther than others.
- Adept: The workings of life make so much sense to you. You can easily interpret a high level of information and you learn faster than others. You quickly gain levels and sit at an accelerated level of intelligence. However, your broad amount of knowledge means you are not very good at any one thing, but average at many.
- Unkeen: You are an unfortunate one. You do not start with any obvious advantages in any fields of knowledge, and you level up slower. You are unassuming and average, but you can pick an extra ability and 2 more traits.
