Aw, c'mon Rags. It's not that many rolls; you could probably re-read what's happened so far. This is a good RtD, despite that huge waiting period. It's not the kind I would normally join (since I prefer fantasy settings) but MLC knows his ♥♥♥♥. I feel like you shouldn't just drop it....
But, your choices are your own. I don't want to get on your bad side or anything, so take my opinion with a grain of salt if it suits you.

To be honest I don't think it's likely MLC will pick it up again to begin with, but in any case I'm pretty busy right now (and will be until like, June, more or less) so yeah.

Tomaster - Robert Macintosh: GO INSIDE THE MATTRESS [8]
You can't help but grin once that glimmer of hope crosses your mind. You live in a bad neighborhood, and had a backup plan for pretty much everything in case someone broke in. You're sure you hid something inside the mattress.
You quickly run over to your mattress and start looking over it. Aha! A small patch of duct tape covering a hole in the mattress. Oh, duct tape. It's the only thing you'll ever need. Sewing is for pansies anyway.
Tearing off the duct tape, you quickly find what you're looking for. Your trusty switchblade.
_ Equipped - Clothes (Shirtless (Ooh la la), Shorts, Air Jordans, Ray-Bans) Inventory - Common Items (You have an excuse to use common items you might have in your pocket, like cell phones.) - Switchblade (Fairly long blade, likely capable of killing or maiming) Abilities - Sixth Sense: After being ambushed, Robert has learned to listen to his instincts, and has additional time to react to any incoming threats. (+1/-1 to dodging attacks) - Hyper Speed: Enormous power courses through your veins, allowing you to think and move faster than would ever be considered humanly possible. Conditions - Injured Arm (-1 to using arms.)
Natti – Mikey: Observe the surroundings for a second, see if I can spot anyone following me. Then walk over to her. [4]
You observe the crowd and glance over your shoulder briefly. There doesn't appear to be anyone following you, though it could be hard to tell with so many people in your midst.
Why am I so on edge? You hadn't seen anyone but that one man before... time reversed? All of this is so strange. And you'd always been tough - but bullets? A car? No way. You shake your head and rub the bridge of your nose. Part of you wishes you were sitting back in the flower shop having a normal day - that this all isn't worth the trouble.
Then you look back at Heather, sitting there crying.
"Hey."
You don't really know why you said something so stupid, but her crying subsides as she raises her head to look up at you. "Who - who was that man? Why was he shooting at us?!" Just as quickly as they stopped, tears once again begin flowing from her beautiful blue eyes.
You put your hands on her shoulders and look into those same eyes. "I know you must have a lot of questions, but I'm not sure I know any more than you do. Anyway, this isn't exactly the best place to talk." you say as you gesture your head towards the crowd walking down the street.
She sniffles and nods her head in agreement before standing up.
_ Equipped - Clothes Inventory - Common Items (You have an excuse to use common items you might have in your pocket, like cell phones.) -- Broken Cell Phone (Broken in car accident) Abilities - Rage: +2 to 3 rolls in a row when he gets angry. - Bulletproof: Bravery fills your heart and soul, making you resistant to all physical damage. Conditions
TorrentHKU - Jack D. Lovegale: I need a hotdog. Go outside and find me a hotdog vendor. [6]
After finishing a couple shots, you leave your office and walk past Peter. He's busy on the phone, and probably shouldn't be interrupted.
You arrive at the elevator when your stomach growls. Something about shooting vandals in the face must make you hungry. You find yourself giggling a bit at the thought.
What kind of sick bastard laughs after having their sister killed? A grimace crosses your face in your response to your conscience's backlash. That isn't worth thinking about right now. It's not like you can't be certain she's dead... right?
You shift focus back to your surroundings, and find you're back on the ground floor already. Heh. Funny the things you do without even thinking about them. You walk past where a couple dead bodies should be, and find nothing but a couple bullet holes.
Hmph. Guess it wasn't a dream.
Then you realize. Police will probably arrive any minute, if anyone heard the gunshots. You aren't sure if that's a good or a bad thing. Missing guards... mysterious bullet holes... disappearing gunmen... This could get hard to explain.
_ Equipped - Clothes (Button-Up Shirt, Jeans) Inventory - First-Aid Kit - Common Items (You have an excuse to use common items you might have in your pocket, like cell phones.) - H&K MK23 pistol Abilities - Adrenal Bullet Time: Danger causes his mind to speed up to about 1.5x normal speed because of his intense physical lifestyle. (+- 2 to dangerous situations, can only be used 2 times in a row) - Gun Kata: You have natural talent and ability with any gun. Conditions - Inebriated
CaveCricket48 – Claire: Make them think that they hear noises outside of someone running away. As for me, I DO NOT EXIST. IGNORE ME. [8]
Maybe if you could lure them out of the bathroom... You close your eyes and concentrate, imagining the sound of running footsteps outside the bathroom door.
Almost immediately you hear the footsteps of the man leaving in pursuit.
Phew.
_ Equipped - Clothes (T-Shirt, Jeans) Inventory - Common Items (You have an excuse to use common items you might have in your pocket, like cell phones.) Abilities - Escapee: +1 to actions involving speed and dexterity. - Mind Control: You can control the thoughts and actions of other people through mere suggestions. Conditions
Ragdollmaster - Cole Albright: - [-]
You're struck by a bolt of lightning and die instantly.
Ironic, hm?
_ Equipped - Clothes - Pistol Inventory - Common Items (You have an excuse to use common items you might have in your pocket, like cell phones.) Abilities - Heavy Hitter: (+1 to melee combat) - Thunder Rod: You can generate electricity to zap your foes. Conditions
Okay Nighthawk. Do you want in on the next roll?

Re: Roll to Dodge - Ark
Eh, you know what? I'll join. Why not. Here's a repost of my character. Nothing has changed except the name - I decided I didn't like the previous one:
Name - Jonathan Freist Age - 25 Appearance - Tall, muscular, very bright hazel eyes covered by thick tufts of shaggy brown hair. He always wears casual, unclean clothes, as if to taunt his past life when he always wore a suit.
Backstory - Jonathan's family was rich. He was thought to have everything he'd ever wanted as a child. The only thing that he wasn't given was respect. He was paid no attention to, despite all the efforts Jonathan took as a child to be noticed. He was actually quite skilled at crafting little gizmos out of anything he could find, but his father never recognized him as one of the family for a reason that Jonathan never discovered. His failed attempts to be seen eventually transformed from creation to destruction. He broke china, tore up pictures and furniture, and made messes all over the house. When his father finally acted, it was only to lock Jonathan in his own room. The boy escaped, and survived by eating what his mother brought to him in secret. He plotted many times to kill his own father, but was dissuaded when his father died from an incurable disease only months after Jonathan had fled. He never knew the secrets of his family, because his mother fell into a depression after that, and was unable to speak, much less tell him why his father seemed to hate him so much. Jonathan was left to wrestle with his own thoughts of whether or not his dad deserved to die. He eventually found a job as a construction worker, and he liked the work, although it never really let him create what brilliant designs he had in mind.
News of his mother's death eventually came, but he didn't take the fortune that was left him. He spread it throughout the surrounding poorer areas. Many people felt the relief of the sudden donation, but they had no idea who gave it to them. Only rumors of a rich family with no children to pass their fortune to.
Jonathan remained an inventor at heart. In his spare time, he still managed to make those little things that never swayed his father, but made him happy. And he never needed anyone's recognition.
Ability - Inventor's Mind (+1 to all crafting)
EDIT - Changed character's name because it's been a long time since I posted it and I decided I didn't like what I chose earlier.

You make your way out of your apartment, and into the street - still shirtless. You can't tell if you're embarrassed, or empowered. Oh, wait, you don't give a ♥♥♥♥. My bad.
You head to the nearest gun store in the area. You've been there before, and you had to wait a couple days before you could actually take home the gun. Maybe you can work something out.
You arrive without incident - only to see empty shelves when you look in the window. A small bell greets you as you open the door to inspect further. It's en eerie sound in the otherwise quiet, unlit store. As you suspected, the place is almost completely gutted. There might be a pistol or something lying around here somewhere, but someone seems to have robbed a whole store worth of guns. The ammunition is mostly gone, too.
You find no trace of the cashier, except what looks like a single bullet hole. You can only hope he escaped... instead of meeting the same fate as Rick.

"I doubt going back into the shop would be a good idea. There might be more surprises waiting inside."
You grab her hand without thinking about it, and walk with her to find a café on a quieter side street. You quickly spot one after walking a block or two together, and walk through the door as a gentleman holds it open for you. You talk to the waiter and are immediately seated. The menu distracts you for a second, but a glance at Heather's face reminds you why you came.
She seems to have calmed down a bit - she's looking over her menu as well. After a while a smile creeps across her beautiful face, but she doesn't look up from the menu. You turn your head back to the menu and blush slightly. She probably doesn't know what to say about all of this. Honestly, neither do you.
Lovegale: Head out and go for a walk. Quickly. Whatever the hell's going on here, I don't want to stick around for it. [1]
You quickly step outside the building and hear a very distinct sound in the distance. Police sirens.
You're pretty sure you won't be out of sight if you just walk out of the area normally. The police will probably ask anyone leaving to stick around for questioning - and it might be a little suspicious if you run off.
Whatever you're gonna do, you gotta do it fast.
After taking a deep breath to compose yourself, you step out of your stall and exit the bathroom. You sent the gunmen through the back door, so your safest bet is probably to leave out of the front.
You make your way through the main section of the restaurant. You try not to look but can't help but notice the bo- What? Everyone that was here just... vanished. There's no blood or anything. Come to think of it, that thug that shot himself disappeared as well. Shouldn't be a surprise at this point. Hell, you're controlling people's minds. Then you got resurrected by some creep. Today just keeps getting weirder.
You step out the front door - and see some police cars. Maybe... oops.
Well, no turning back now.

Nighthawk - Jonathan Freist: - [-]
Phew! You've never awaited a lunch break more in your life. There's been a lot of heavy lifting on site recently and it's starting to get to you. Nothing like a nice stop by a nearby café to make you feel better.
You open the door and are about to enter when you see a nice couple walking towards you. The man motions towards the café door for his date, who nods her head in agreement. Deciding to be polite, you hold the door open for them, and they smile at you as they enter. A small act of kindness they probably won't remember, but it never hurts to show some chivalry.
You walk in the door, and see the waiter is busy. You turn to look for them - and accidentally bump into a guy. You try to apologize, but by the time you look over he's already out the door. Ah well.
The waiter come back momentarily and shows you to your seat - one of the few single person tables in the café. Just so happens it's your favorite spot, by the window. Today's looking like a good day.
"Some coffee, right?"
"Haha, nah. I don't think I need it. How about... a chocolate smoothie this time?"
"Alrighty! Always nice to see a returning customer."
You smile to her and she walks away, menu still in hand. Always nice to be a returning customer, you think as you enjoy the view out of the window.
While waiting, you shift around in your seat and hit something with your foot. It almost felt like a bag of some kind? Odd. There shouldn't be anything there.
_ Equipped - Unclean clothes Inventory - Common Items (You have an excuse to use common items you might have in your pocket, like cell phones.) Abilities - Inventor's Mind: (+1 to crafting) Conditions
Let me know what you think of how I portrayed your character, Nighthawk.
