I really like your sense of humor. It really is a bummer when indie radios have to put in so many ads to pay for themselves.

That Tom Waits album was really good, the one I listened to last night.
Franks Wild Years, by Tom Waits. Really artistic rock inspired by cabaret and blues/jazz

My Bloody Valentine came back from hiatus, and released their new album "m b v"
If you know of shoegaze, you know this band was one of the biggest figures in the initial scene.
If you don't know, this guy does a good job reviewing the album, and explaining the sound and band without requiring a huge understanding of it.

I'm about to listen to the album now.

I ♥♥♥♥ love Tom Waits, I've got everything from swordfishtrombones and up, I just need to grab his lounge-style songs from the early years and I'm complete.

Last night I was at an outside mall kind of place with my girlfriend, and I went into Barnes & Noble to check out what music they had; I didn't expect anything special.

I spotted Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones, and Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes both on sale. I bought them and was very happy. I normally don't buy CDs.

I also got a chance to listen to stuff on my backlog, Furniture - "Food, Sex & Paranoia", Furniture - "The Lovemongers", and Flipper - "Album: Generic Flipper"

Nardwuar did an interview with Julian Casablanca of the Strokes some years back.
It was really... awkward. They seemed to be on totally different wavelengths. Apparently it was the same with Henry Rollins.
Nardwuar knows a lot about music though. He seems really funny.

If you guys want to talk hip-hop,
MYK & Shirosky made me feel as if they brought something new to the table. I really enjoy their album, Adaption.
Link to album.
(Benny & the Jetta is a fine album as well.)

Wick-It came out with a rap/hip-hop mix on many songs. One of my favorites being Double Shot since Kid Cudi are one of my favorite mainstream vocalists.
Link to album

Sam & Tre have some pretty upbeat lyrics. It's hiphop/rap along with some turntablism. All of this will lead to their album.
(On another note, I've seen Sam be flexible with his work seen in Shark Attack. It's some wack Dubstep ♥♥♥♥ man.

Shout-outs include, Vanilla and Short-E's early beats.

Some of the more ambient and chill pieces I've been listening too include artists like Maed Meva, Illusive, Lakuna Manti, and Eddie
But as for my all time favorite, I have to say Torsion Waves blows these out of the park, if you listen to Feel Better (Live), you'll feel some crazy energy.

Baroness is pretty great. You've probably already heard of Kvelertak too. They have similar album artwork, and play black metal inspired hardcore punk.

I am listening to Silver & Gold, by Sufjan Stevens. A like ♥♥♥♥ three hour long Christmas song compilation. Joy to the world!

Oh. Heard of Sophisti-pop? It's a subgenre popular in the 80's, where it'd be really romantically themed synth pop/ new wave with a jazz and soul flavor.
It died during the 90's, but came back in the late 00s. Most people remember it through the groups Prefab Sprout and The Blue Nile
