Maybe he means ex-centric. As in it is no longer central to something. ♥♥♥♥ I dunno

P3l would be correct, i mean LOOK AT THAT BONE IN THE HAM. DOES THAT LOOK CENTRAL TO YOU? NOPE

NOOOOOOOOOPE

it is not a centric ham it is an EX-CENTRIC HAM AUGH

Also, we use an X in EXCENTRIC in Danish, it's just englishpeople being silly about basically the only double-C ever that's pronounced like an X and an S.

@DAME: Thanks! I know it sounds silly, but i'm personally really surprised at how well it turned out, since it was only like day 4 into drawing more or less seriously on paper. It's especially odd when considering that i've been drawing with a mouse with my left hand up till now, i'd have expected my right hand to have extremely underdeveloped drawing mahscles. Apparently it's not wholly locked to one hemisphere of the brain. :???: (however i'm reasonably sure that my left hand wouldn't be able to pen its way out of a wet paper bag)

Very interesting! Reminds me of the falling squares style of the Lionhead Studios logo.

That's pretty sick CC. Is that a dragonfly? The dragonfly has been sort of ironically adopted as my house symbol.

It was more intended to be a butterfly with clock hands as wings, but drifted a bit too far from the image of a butterfly.

And another brain thing

I could have sworn that the first one was 3D to begin with, but then i noticed that it's actually painted. It was then that i noticed that my jaw was actually hanging well below the rest of my head. Second one prompted a similar reaction, i find it bloody amazing what kind of depth and detail you can convey with a PEN(CIL). However, tiny nitpicks: The dude's ear somehow seems a bit odd, as if it's just kind of a funnel into his head (which i suppose isn't entirely wrong either), but i can't really put my finger on what it is that catches my eye. Also, the second tiny nitpick is that his neck seems a smidge thick around the base of the skull.
And that is all i could nitpick. Your drawings are just absurdly good. :-?

Texture needs heavy work but I think I'm happy with shape.

Legs too

Any tips for getting the texture right?

Texture looks fine to me, though that might be related to the fact that i rarely do textures to begin with. You've pretty much done the scaly texture how i imagine i'd be doing it, except better, so... Yeah. One thing though, i think his blade doesn't look super sharp on your version, it's a bit too rounded at the edge, somehow. I think it could help if you made a greater contrast between light and shadows, because if you look at the reference, there's actually a pretty significant variation in luminance on the blade.
Looks great otherwise, kudos on that! c: (also note: i am by no means an expert so i reserve the right to be wrong)

also i made more doodles so

gaze upon the ♥♥♥♥

Also it was made the night immediately preceding an exam, which partly explains the lowest third of the page. :U
