Protip: use Launchy to eliminate the need for desktop icons.

What has everyone got against desktop icons? They're usefull, simple and maintenance free.

Re: Post Your Desktop II (humorous phrase here)
I only use them because I can show off all the cool pony icons I found. I don't actually click the icons to launch ♥♥♥♥, that'd be ridiculous.

Re: Post Your Desktop II (humorous phrase here)
Lots of icons clutters up the screen. Plus, they're all different color schemes and styles and it makes the desktop look noisy. Launchers allows you to keep icons but style the launcher button so the desktop remains clean and clutter-free.

I tried Fences. I prefer using Launchy.

Personal choice of course I just feel that having anything but desktop icons is completely foreign and I don't like it

Re: Post Your Desktop II (humorous phrase here)
For the ultra lightweight stack, I use standalone stack. No mess, no fuss, and contracts down to one single icon from however many you shove in the launcher.
