> Still moving forward, you manage to take 10 steps before there's a massive rushing sound and a massive number of shapes slam into you from all sides. The arrow in your bow is fired off, but it doesn't stop you from being shoved to the ground while dozens of limbs beat you down. Your armor manages to hold up, but you can feel your limbs starting to twist in unnatural ways, sending screams of pain surging throughout your body, while something sharp cuts into your cheek.



Conditions :
- Pinned Down
- Scratched Right Cheek

Walking off, you head in the direction where the armor went with Aucupe by your side, providing light through a shining Lucida. Elly and the suit of armor are where they were before, except the armor is now sitting down against the wall with Elly beside it, leaning on its shoulder.

???: "So you have recovered the weapon."

Aucupe: "Yes, I have been 'recovered.'"

Conditions :
- Moderate Bruising (-2 Physical actions)
- Whirlwind Armor (+2 Physical Actions)

> You keep charging Firebrand★, but with the two now-dead still-burning bodies making light, it looks like those bat creatures aren't planning on rushing in anytime soon. The screaming continues, but it sounds like it has lessened.

The dragon lets out a massive roar that briefly overcomes the screams, and then dies out.

"Many are gone. The rest cling around the opening."

Somewhere deep inside the building, you hear a boom.

> Walking around the burning armory at a safe distance, it seems to be far enough from other buildings so that the fire won't spread. When you get back to where you started, Aucupe and John are further away. with Aucupe holding the shining sword.

> Stepping up to the pile of bodies, you start grabbing them and tossing them away. Some parts are still moving weakly, but you ignore them and keep going until there is a ring of corpses around a one-armed figure in mangled armor lying in the center.

The ball of light lowers until it sits directly over Koa and resumes its hovering.

You and Feiar touch the surface of the thing with hands, and it feels cold and smooth, like a large metal surface. Walking to one side and then the other, it seems like it's a massive, closed double-door set into an even bigger stone wall.

Heading to either side of the wall, you find out that there are dense trees. Looks like finding a side passage won't be easy.

Feiar: We should've brought the rope with us. Now what?

You head towards an opening in the wall that used to be a doorway and into the building with the dragon behind you. The screams from the creatures outside suddenly change into laughter-like cries, but they remain out of sight.

You're now in a hallway, with multiple doorways on both sides going down the hall. A scratching and bruhsing sound echoes throughout the interior of the building.

Conditions :
- (Firebrand) Charged (+2 Next action with Firebrand★)

> You walk over to the armor, the Lord, John, and Aucupe.

Aucupe is holding up Lucida and creating a light, and you see that the armor is sitting against the wall of a building with the lord leaning against it.

John: "Hey, how long has it been? I feel like that monster might've been doing something with the flow of time.
Also, who are you?"


Suit of armor: "It has been only a few hours since you went in. I doubt something as weak as that creature is capable of advanced magic.

Kneeling down, you can hear the Koa breathing in quiet but raggid breaths. Parts of her armor look dented or broken and bent in enough to cause injury or be extremely unpleasent. Carefully picking Koa up, you quickly head to the empty building with the ball of light hovering over you, push open the door hanging freely on squeeky hinges, and set her down in the corner to the left.

The ball of light hangs over Koa, but sheds enough light to see your surroundings. It looks like a waiting room, with a long counter near the back of the room and chairs scattered about everywhere. An opening in the right corner of the room reveals a flight of stairs, and although you were sure the building was quiet, there is a pair of shining yellow lights in a shadowed blob at the top of the stairs.

You pound on the metal gate, letting the deep sound resonate through the air.

Feiar: "I don't like this idea."

After a few uneventful seconds pass, you strike the door again. A masculine voice then calls out from somewhere on or over the wall.
