We should finish these off as fast as possible and then get the hell out of there, I don't like this noise.
Make 2 clones and get them to battle the gargoyles John and Gabriel are battling. For me, BASHY BASH

Engage whatever's making that sound from a far using my Blast Talisman. If it doesn't appear to be busting it up much, then at least aim low and try to knock it off its feet.

Post Re: RtD: Illusia - (Roll #120) Gargoyle - now 500% larger.
Rollin', as promised. Gonna try and make sure I roll EVERY sunday from now on, so even if it's not that often, I'll be consistent.

Torrent (Gillian) (3)

"Gabriel, John! Over here!"
You call to your two allies, and they both come running.

... Then your healing doesn't work.

Ociamarru (Nikolai) (8)

"..."
You aim down the street at the presence that you sensed, and fire a volley of beams from your Blast Talisman. You hear a trio of hissing noises informing you that you hit, but the footsteps do not falter. You're not even sure if your shots are making contact, but you're sure that there has to be something there.

You take aim again, this time lower, and release another few bursts, to the same result. The echoing footsteps do not stop.

caekdaemon (Anderson) (2)

"This is too much fun." You laugh heartily, and advance at an easy pace towards the two gargoyles. Hammer in hand, you suddenly leap forward and take a wide swing (2 v. 3). Not only do you miss, but you also fail to activate your Mass Alteration at the right time. Not only that, but you activate it at the worst time - the end of your swing.

The suddenly heavy hammer, which has built up momentum from your attack, pulls your entire body off of the ground, sending you hurtling past both of the gargoyles (and a third one, which seems to be flying in the opposite direction that you are), a good twenty feet from where you were just standing. Your weapon hits the ground like an anchor, cracking the cobblestones, and because you are still hanging on to it, you do an awkward half-frontflip that slams your back into the street. Your armor does a bad job of absorbing the blunt force of the impact.

CaveCricket (Raphael) (3)

You summon up the EpicWings, and the gargoyle that is hitching a ride on your back is sent flying off. You follow up by swinging your wings like clubs at another nearby foe, (3 v. 1), and they tear through the stone like smashing rotten fruit with a mallet.

Anderson is suddenly next to you, lying on his back and groaning. You wonder how he got there.

Tokochiro (Johni) (2, 2) A pair of twos. Epic irony.

"We should finish these off as fast as possible and then get the hell out of there, I don't like this noise."

You make a pair of clones to... hey. Where are they? They don't... seem to be appearing. Why.
Oh, whatever. You'll just (2 v. 10)... fail to hit the gargoyle you're fighting, and (2 v. 5) barely dodge its attack.

Yeah... that went really well.

Phd (John Adams) (11 + 4 - 2 = 10)

You whip out your crossbow, which is handily loaded, and fire a bolt into the gargoyle. You can't possibly miss with a homingbolt at this distance, and the shot hits it square in the face with enough force to smash the head apart. You hear Gillian call out, "Gabriel, John! Over here!" and you head in that direction.

He holds a hand up to you, and you see a little glowy blue light, but nothing happens.

NPCs

Gabriel (-)

Gabriel hears Gillian's call, (8 v. 9) dodges an enemy before rushing over to be healed. Shame it doesn't work.

Terry (1 + 1 = 2)

Terry tries to smash the gargoyles that Gabriel just fled from (2 v. 5) but misses completely. They both jump on top of the Hunchback and begin hacking at it.

Locations
-Torrent, Ociamarru, Tokochiro, Phd, Terry and Gabriel are by the entrance.
-CaveCricket and caekdaemon are a small distance down the main street, away from the entrance.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Events:

From out of the cover of darkness down the main street comes a gigantic shape - it resembles the other foes you've been fighting, but it's at least five times larger, and glowing orange decorative lines adorn its body. It sees the group, emits a terrible roar, and comes hurtling down the street.

The remaining small gargoyles, even the ones that were just viciously tearing at the Hunchback, screech loudly and scurry away.

Laugh from the pain.

"Oh hey, a bigger bad guy? Great!"
Get back onto feet and get ready to do mass swings.

caekdaemon, your character development, if we could call it that, is frightening me.

Transform my left arm into some sort of large pulverizing jackhammer, then go to work at this beast's ankles.

Sunday Morning Roll.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Torrent (Gillian) (5 + 1 = 6)

You try again, and this time a faint blue light washes over the wounds of your teammates, and they are somewhat fixed up.

Sadly, your rock-snake isn't near the gargoyle, which is further down the street, and since your thrashing little friend is tied to the ground, he's not going to do much good.

Ociamarru (Nikolai) (9 for shift, 8 for attack)

Your left arm shifts into a long hammer (template'd), and you run at top speed towards the new foe and swing at his right ankle (8 v. 7). The attack bounces off of his leg with a *crrnng* sound and a shower of orange sparks. A small crack can be seen on it, but no other damage was dealt by the attack. The beast swings its great hand at you (7 v. 5) and clips you on the right side. You are knocked back several steps by the impact and almost fall.

caekdaemon (Anderson) (7 - 1 = 6)

You look up and see the huge gargoyle staring down the street.
"Oh hey, a bigger bad guy? Great!" You laugh and casually throw yourself to your feet.
You draw back your arm, a field of mass building around your weapon, readying itself to be concentrated into the head of the hammer when you attack.

+3 to attacks next turn!

CaveCricket (Raphael) (Sword Trance Auto 10)

You launch yourself into the air with a push of your powerful wings and charge the giant gargoyle at maximum speed. Your vision becomes a blur, everything moves faster than the eye can see, and then...
Everything slows, when your blade is a half-foot from the gargoyle's neck. You watch as the weapon inches closer and closer, waiting for it to pass through like a hot knife through butter...

*Ssshk*

Time slowly speeds back up to normal speed, and you skid to a stop behind the enemy. Turning around, you see the patterns of light adorning its head flicker and die out, then its head slowly slides off.

Tokochiro (Johni) (12 for cloning, 6 for attack)

You manage to make a clone this time, and you order him to sit back. He ignores you completely and charges the enemy, yelling like a maniac.
Good grief. You suppose you should help him out, so you charge as well, and swing your cane at the enemy's leg (6 v. 8). The attack glances off with a light chiming noise, and does no damage. Your clone seems to be having even less luck. (11 v. 7) Yep, there he goes, getting hit in the face by the giant gargoyle.

Phd (John Adams) (4 - 1 = 3)

Gillian tries harder, and your wound begins to close.

You feel a bit better, so you try to make use of your telekinesis again by picking up some nearby rubble, but you can't do it.

NPCs

Gabriel (-)

Gabriel gets healed by Gillian.

Terry (1)

Terry backs up and starts gaining momentum as he charges the new foe.

Locations
-Torrent, Ociamarru, Tokochiro, Phd, Terry and Gabriel are by the entrance.
-CaveCricket and caekdaemon are a small distance down the main street, away from the entrance.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Events:

The gargoyle, which was just decapitated by Raphael, stands still for a moment, then picks up its own head and crushes it in its clawed fist.
Looks like you don't need a brain to live.
