Or maybe his massive popularity has caved in on him. The other terrible web comic artists probably don't have such a huge following or enjoy as much success.

Since I've never heard of any of those points I still believe he is a good webcomic artist
I can believe he makes good stuff without thinking he is a good person

good webcomic artist

it's not even a good face, what kind of expression is 8^U meant to portray?
that's just the one people make when they lose all facial muscle control

You don't need great art to be a good web comic artist, the only reason the pictures are there is to provide a visual context to support a gag or statement (eg, xkcd, homestuck (be extension SBHJ). Personally, I think he's funny, and his art isn't terrible, which pretty much ticks all my box's for readable web comic.

visual context
completely expressionless 8^U, regardless of severity of circumstances
yeah alright

Homestuck and XKCD at least communicate emotion through facial expressions and body language
Homestuck has literally copied and pasted sprites and they have more emotional range than most pages of CAD

You can compare it to sbahj if you like but it only manages to hit "bad" rather than "intentionally bad"

Have you even read half of xkcd? how much body language do you see? What? Next to none? Oh, that's right, they're freaking stick figures.

Context-The circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed.
Example, I draw a mother ♥♥♥♥ tree, and jack ♥♥♥♥ else, it provides context. I don't even need any shitty faces, or shitty bodies to do it with, a pussy assed line on a bitchy white backdrop could provide enough context to blow your incapable mind away...

...*ehem* so yeah, I consider a simple "I don't like this web comic" pretty reasonable, there no real need to back up you not liking something. ♥♥♥♥ posting about the guy and saying the content is not good 'full stop' isn't really supporting an argument against the content.

Ctrl Alt Del's artwork has evolved over time, it's completely different from how it started
While the point of the facial expressions is true you can't use it to argue against his current drawings

What I always found funny is a bunch of totally widely accepted webcomics reuse a small bank of facial expressions and nobody minds, CaD does it and people flip ♥♥♥♥ and go "THIS IS THE WORST THING EVER MADE EVER".

I don't think anyone is flipping ♥♥♥♥ or calling it the worst thing ever. Just calling a turd a turd.

Jussayin, XKCD has hella body language. When all you are is a stick, you've got to make everything count.
